📱 MobileCrystal Saga Nova, the popular browser-based MMORPG, makes the jump to Android
The Crystal Saga series has been delivering vintage MMORPG thrills for well over a decade now but it’s still conquering new territory. Its latest iteration, Crystal Saga Nova, has just marched onto Android in Early Access, marking the series’ debut outside of web browsers. For the uninitiated, Crystal Saga Nova is the latest entry in a long-running fantasy MMORPG saga that, until now, was only available as a browser-based offering. The mobile edition is a portable version of its PC predecessor, which touched down earlier this year. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/crystal-saga-nova/early-access/)

📱 MobileAfterglow lets you build a survivor even while you're away from the MMORPG
The bomb went off in 1988, at least in this version of events, which means anything anyone in the American Southwest has built since then has been cobbled together from cassette decks, CRT screens and whatever else made it through the Reagan years. Afterglow picks things up 77 years after all that. Synthwave, urban legends, mutated things in the dust, all of it hand drawn. Underneath the neon there is a sandbox MMORPG built around sessions of ten to fifteen minutes. You queue up actions for gathering, crafting, travelling and fighting, and your character carries on with them while you are off doing something else. Come back when you can, see what got done. ... 📱 MobileDot Clash brings classroom Dots and Boxes online with daily puzzles and boss fights
Every school produced the same doodle. Two people, one exercise book, a grid of dots in the margin and about forty minutes of quiet warfare while somebody at the front explained long division. Dot Clash takes that and coats the whole thing in those minorly annoying neon lights. The rules have not moved an inch. You take turns drawing a line between two dots, and closing the fourth side of a box claims it and hands you another go. Chaining those captures is the entire point. Getting greedy about it is how you gift somebody half the board in one go, as anyone who lost a lunch break to this will remember. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/dot-clash/official-launch/)
📱 MobileOne More Hit lets you Moneyball the beautiful sport of baseball
The 2011 film Moneyball sees Brad Pitt playing Billy Beane, a manager who uses a statistical approach to baseball where undervalued players that can be hired on for cheap end up proving to be a successful team thanks to their mathematical performance. And if that sounds interesting, then One More Hit might be the closest thing we have to a game adaptation. One More Hit is a roguelike baseball sim that, rather than focusing on the moment-to-moment action or drafts and planning, pitches you the idea of slowly building out your team. The challenge is knowing when to take a risk and when to stop, as you pull new cards featuring different players whilst aiming to stay below your salary cap. ... 📱 MobileLumines Remastered offers up an audio-visual delight with block-dropping puzzles thrown as well
Back in the PSP days, video game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi decided he wanted to make a puzzler for the platform, eventually creating Lumines. Since then, it's been released on consoles and PC alongside mobile. But handheld is its real home, and it makes a glorious return today on iOS and Android as Lumines Remastered. If the name is completely new to you, Lumines is a block-dropping puzzler, where you have to create a 2x2 square by aligning blocks that drop in the same configuration. There are only ever two colours, but it's trickier than you might think, particularly if you're going for a high score. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/lumines-remastered/ios-android-release/)
📱 MobileCookieRun Crumble beginner’s guide - 9 tips for baking bad
Devsisters’ CookieRun: Crumble is another spinoff of the developer’s smash-hit CookieRun series. And as with their other spins on the formula, such as OvenSmash and its multiplayer battler format, CookieRun: Crumble takes your favourite baked goods to an entirely new genre: an idle RPG. Worried you might not grasp it from the get-go? Don’t be, because we’ve got this complete beginner’s guide to help you along! I’ll be providing both a basic overview and refresher of what CookieRun: Crumble is all about, as well as some of my tips after having played it myself. So, let’s get started with the very basics. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/cookierun-crumble/beginners-guide/)
📱 MobileVolcano Princess puts your child-raising ability to the test, out now on mobile
Earlier this month, Iwan covered Volcano Princess, a self-described 'daughter-raising simulator.' Now, I've played games long enough that such an odd premise shouldn't baffle me that much and yet, I still find myself unable to accept its existence. But it very much does exist. In fact, it's available to buy on iOS and Android right now. Okay, folks. Let's see if we can wrap our heads around this one together. Volcano Princess is set in a world where demons and humans are constantly butting heads, as they are wont to do whenever they meet. Somewhere in that mess, your wife has died, leaving you to raise your daughter alone. Ah, is this a sad Dad game? Are we going to find Kratos or Booker DeWitt kicking around in Mount Vesuvius? ... 📱 MobileRust Mobile's 2nd closed beta offers even more regions access to the survival crafting shooter
When it comes to multiplayer survival gameplay, few games provoke as much a sense of fun (and frustration) as Rust. So, naturally, we've been pretty excited to track Rust Mobile as it heads towards release. But whether you're a veteran or newcomer to Tencent Games' take on Facepunch Studios' flagship, you could be able to get your hands on it a bit earlier. That's because Tencent Games have announced the second closed beta for Rust Mobile, which will be available in even more regions than the first, including North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. The second closed beta will kick off on August 23rd, with pre-download available from the 22nd. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/rust-mobile/second-closed-bet-announced/)
📱 MobilePokémon TCG Pocket's Ruler of the Skies expansion is now live, letting you add new Megas to your collection
Around a week ago, I covered the news that Pokémon TCG Pocket would get a new expansion called Ruler of the Skies. And now, it's here, bringing a host of new Megas with it, including Rayquaza, Sharpedo, Metagross and Gallade. It's a pretty sizeable expansion too. While the previous booster, Everyday Wonders, added 106 cards, Ruler of the Skies introduces more than double that with 233. I hope you've been stockpiling Pack Hourglasses if you're looking to get the entire collection. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/pokemon-trading-card-game-pocket/ruler-of-the-skies-out-now/)
📱 MobilePUBG Mobile lets you swing from rooftops and unleash web attacks on foes in new Spider-Man crossover
Given I've just seen Spider-Man: Brand New Day (and I absolutely loved it), I'm keen to cover PUBG Mobile's collab with the film even though it might sound odd to have a web-swinging superhero debut in a supposedly "realistic" battle royale. Honestly, PUBG has never really been one to limit its crossovers with more subdued things, so why should Spidey be any different? This time around, our friendly neighbourhood superhero is joining in as Version 4.5 kicks off, and the crossover will run until September 7th. There'll be lots of dedicated Spider-Man: Brand New Day elements such as a special gameplay mode with iconic locations fans of the franchise will instantly recognise. ... 📱 MobileHonor of Kings: Ace offers card-battling strategy across the HoK universe, with a hands-on at gamescom next month
I think Honor of Kings needs no introduction, but if you're not familiar with the popular MOBA, it's got more than 260 million monthly active users under its belt, making it the most-played game in its genre to date. Honestly, I can't even wrap my head around that massive number, as it's just that impressive - and I'm not even all that into MOBAs in particular. But with TiMi Studio Group's latest project in the franchise, my interest is definitely piqued - especially since Honor of Kings: Ace is going to be a card battler. And I do love my card battlers! Set in the Honor of Kings universe, this strategic cross-platform entry will be playable seamlessly on both mobile and PC, and by the looks of it, it seems like it's truly going to be a tactical affair. Heroes are called Contestants, and each one will have different skills and abilities that add depth to each match. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/honor-of-kings-ace/announcement/)
