For the uninitiated, Crystal Saga Nova is the latest entry in a long-running fantasy MMORPG saga that, until now, was only available as a browser-based offering. The mobile edition is a portable version of its PC predecessor, which touched down earlier this year.
Published by R2 Games, Crystal Saga Nova offers a traditional - or classic, if you prefer - MMORPG experience, from its fantasy themes and visuals straight out of Greek and Roman mythology, to its real-time combat, levelling system and dungeon crawling exploits.
All of this has been tailored for mobile devices in the Android edition, so expect an epic adventure against a sprawling fantasy backdrop full of hidden secrets to uncover, monsters and oversized bosses to slay, and guilds to join, if you happen to be the social sort.
You can forge your destiny as one of five character classes, Knight, Mage, Priest, Rogue or Pixie, all of which are vintage genre tropes, and choose a classic fantasy path to level up along. There are tonnes of customisation options beyond this, including equipment upgrades, snazzy new outfits to don and powerful wings and mounts to unlock.
Whether in PvP or PvE contests, Crystal Saga Nova will always provide something new to conquer with its fast-paced combat, and with the ample opportunities for character personalisation, players can raid, explore and dungeon crawl their own way.
