🎮 Multi-platformNo, GTA 6 Is Not Delayed Again And Still Set To Launch This November
Take-Two Interactive has reconfirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch November 19 in the company's fiscal 2026 results briefing(https://www.take2games.com/ir/news/take-two-interactive-software-inc-reports-results-fourth-2). The commitment comes roughly a year since the open-world game was delayed to May 2026(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-2026/1100-6531282/), which then led to another release-date shift(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-november-2026/1100-6536012/) this past November. There were rumblings of another possible delay for Grand Theft Auto VI, especially with Rockstar's history(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-did-rockstar-delay-gta-6/1100-6536423/). Additionally, it's now been over a year since the game has even gotten a new trailer(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/its-another-sad-gta-6-anniversary-today/1100-6539812/). But Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick noted the highly anticipated title is sticking to November 19 in the results briefing. "We believe fiscal 2027 will establish new record levels of operating performance driven by the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, along with strong execution across our portfolio." Variety(https://variety.com/2026/gaming/news/gta-5-no-delay-price-marketing-summer-1236755303/) also chatted with Zelnick, asking about a possible price-point reveal for Grand Theft Auto VI. The CEO said there wouldn't be any announcement today regarding pricing. Earlier this month, Bank of America stated that Grand Theft Auto VI should cost $80(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-should-be-80-and-other-companies-should-raise-prices-too-bank-of-america-says/1100-6539759/). Zelnick also told Variety that marketing will start in earnest this summer for Grand Theft Auto VI. That's still a month away in the US, with the season officially beginning June 21. There's a chance advertisements could pop up at the FIFA World Cup 26, which will run June 11 to July 19. Grand Theft Auto VI will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The game won't launch on PC at the same time(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-gta-6-is-not-coming-to-pc-at-launch-and-its-not-due-to-a-playstation-deal/1100-6539775/).

🎮 Multi-platformHelldivers 2’s Next Legendary Warbond Is Warhammer 40K, But Don’t Expect Space Marines
Helldivers 2's(https://www.gamespot.com/games/helldivers-2/) next Legendary Warbond will bring the grim-dark future of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe to developer Arrowhead's co-op shooter, a match made in alien-destroying heaven. The announcement came as part of the latest Warhammer Skulls presentation, revealing what fans can expect in the months ahead from Warhammer video games like the upcoming Boltgun 2(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/warhammer-40000-boltgun-boom-comes-to-mobile-this-year-boltgun-2-demo-out-now-on-pc/1100-6540072/) and a new Warhammer fantasy title, Deathmaster(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-deathmaster-brings-sneaky-assassinations-to-pc-and-consoles-next-year/1100-6540075/). During the presentation, Helldivers 2 director Mikael Eriksson appeared and confirmed the collaboration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOaB8-ziwE "At Arrowhead, we believe these two worlds fit perfectly together, and as a studio of diehard Warhammer fans, we are beyond thrilled to see this Legendary Warbond come to life," Eriksson said. No date was given for when fans can expect the new Legendary Warbond to drop, but Eriksson confirmed it would be coming "later this year." It will be the third IP crossover in Helldivers 2, following crossovers with Sony's Killzone(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/helldivers-2s-first-crossover-is-officially-killzone-2-and-the-dlc-is-out-now/1100-6528541/) and Microsoft's Halo: ODST(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/helldivers-2-odst-crossover-will-add-4-iconic-halo-weapons-and-more/2900-6890/) franchises. It does seem to be a no-brainer pairing, as the Helldivers of Super Earth, much like the forces of the Imperium in Warhammer 40K, look to wipe out all alien threats in a hostile galaxy. What players probably shouldn't expect, however, are 40K's iconic Space Marines to appear. Based on previous posts(https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1hpje1o/wheredoyoudrawthelineandwheredoyouhope/?shareid=3Dr5fBc5ES86HYGvKWboM&utmcontent=1&utmmedium=androidapp&utmname=androidcss&utmsource=share&utmterm=1) made by former Arrowhead CEO (now creative director) Johan Pilestedt where he responded to a fan's question about potential crossovers, it seems like Warhammer 40K's Astra Militarum faction is the most likely candidate for the crossover. In the post, Pilestedt literally draws a line between what crossovers he thinks would and wouldn't make sense for Helldivers 2. Halo's ODSTs and 40K's Astra Militarum soldiers are on the left side of the line, the Space Marines of 40K and Halo's super-soldier Master Chief are on the other. He added more context in a follow-up comment, reiterating that crossovers in Helldivers 2 should be limited, shouldn't break immersion, and be close to a "1:1 match" between the two IPs. Part of the appeal of Helldivers is that while the game's titular soldiers are the elite of Super Earth's armed forces, they are still grunts at the end of the day. Helldivers regularly die by the millions as part of the game's Second Galactic War, a sacrifice Super Earth's government seems more than okay with making. That gives Helldivers plenty in common with the Imperium's Astra Militarum forces, who are just regular humans sent in to die by the hundreds of millions to defend human worlds from all kinds of horrific alien enemies. With all that in mind, it wouldn't make sense for the heavily genetically modified Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes to be seen stomping around in Helldivers 2, though there is certainly potential for plenty of powerful Warhammer 40K weaponry like bolters and chainswords to make an appearance as part of the Warbond. Helldivers 2's most recent Warbond added two new Exosuits(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/helldivers-2-new-premium-warbond-finally-does-something-no-warbond-has-done-before/2900-7680/) and made major balance changes(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/helldivers-2-dev-agreed-exosuits-were-too-fragile-so-now-they-are-twice-as-strong/1100-6539671/), all at a time when the game's playerbase seems more frustrated than ever. Amidst Helldiver's 2 recent user reviews on Steam dipping into "Mostly Negative," Arrowhead put out a blog(https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/553850?emclan=103582791473678397&emgid=686379208862073744) to address recent criticisms and outline what it's working on to improve the game, with aims to improve the meta-progression of the Galactic War and communicate more regularly with the playerbase about what the team is working on. Destiny 2 Is Getting Its Final Content Update Next Month As Bungie Ends Active Development
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/05/21/a234bb7b/Destiny%202MOTKeyArt.jpg.webp) Bungie has announced that, after over eight years since the game's launch, it is ending active development for Destiny 2. In a blog post(https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/d2may212026), the studio lays out when the final content update will arrive and how the game will be packaged going forward, while cryptically alluding to the future. In the post, Bungie writes, “While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.” The studio plans to release the game’s final content update on June 9; after that, the game will remain playable, likely for a long time. On the same day, Destiny 2, along with its content packs, will be bundled into a single purchase called Destiny 2: The Collection. That includes every campaign, Dungeon Keys, the 30th Anniversary Pack, and more. Standalone expansions and content packs will be permanently discounted in June. Here is Bungie’s full statement: For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We're proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars. !Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2023/08/22/a31e2c11/thefinalshape2.jpg.webp) The final content update, Monument of Triumph, is designed to “deliver small character beats to leave the story and characters in interesting places, touching on themes across Destiny,” according to Bungie. Legendary Marks from the past will return, earned by completing Triumphs that grant access to free armor ornaments, weapon engrams, accessories, and more. One additional title and armor ornament set can also be unlocked for those who “range widely in their deeds,” says Bungie. The blog post also lays out plans for the return of the newly refreshed Director, a new Pantheon arriving as a permanent addition with new bosses to challenge, an overhaul to the Portal, and the return of the Sparrow Racing League. Seasonal events are also being retired. Be sure to read the full blog post(https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/d2may212026) for a complete rundown of what each of these updates, and more, will entail. The studio also plans to publish weekly developer insights into each of these features via its This Week In Destiny updates. We’ll have to wait to see what the future holds for Bungie, but the studio is presently busy supporting Marathon(https://gameinformer.com/review/marathon/actions-have-consequences), its multiplayer extraction shooter that launched in March.
