🖥 PlayStation, Xbox, Steam Deck, PC, Multi-platformThe Steam Machine fits my TV, my desk, and my life
For the last couple weeks, I've been in an extremely lucky position: I've been spending a lot of time playing games on Valve's Steam Machine. We gave the Steam Machine a 6, and I don't disagree with my colleague Sean Hollister's review. But even though I already own a PS5 and an Xbox Series X, &8230;

🎮 PlayStation, Multi-platformSony Tries To Change The Subject After Killing PlayStation Discs
To kick off July, Sony made the surprising announcement that it plans to end support of physical discs for PlayStation games(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sony-confirms-playstation-disc-production-will-end-in-2028/) at the beginning of 2028. In the week since that news, Sony kept quiet on social media. Now, Sony has attempted to start a new conversation with gamers, but it's not going well so far. In the message seen below, Sony touts the FlexStrike wireless fight stick. Under normal circumstances, this product could have been positively received on its own terms. Unfortunately for the team behind controller, their announcement has been met by lingering anger and resentment from fans over the decision to kill physical discs. https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/2074478664805212593 Some of the responses are a little too profane to share here. There may be support for Sony, but if so, it's been largely buried on social media. Most of the messages have been angry, satirical, or both. https://twitter.com/jchip/status/2074479131077624268 https://twitter.com/balefulspook/status/2074480356460249307 https://twitter.com/SepticSauce/status/2074499339062243733 https://twitter.com/haffsabu/status/2074481096142553558 https://twitter.com/algorusty/status/2074484273671815509 https://twitter.com/SeptimoCieloPod/status/2074488491451244857 Companies like iam8bit and GameFly have already shared their disappointment(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/profoundly-disappointed-is-this-companys-response-to-sonys-decision-to-end-disc-support/) in Sony's move away from physical discs. Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliott has suggested that Sony made this decision to exert greater control over pricing and distribution(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-is-sony-killing-discs-its-all-about-profitability-and-control-expert-says/). Eliminating physical discs effectively kills the used games market and makes Sony's online store the only outlet that can sell its titles outside of code-in-a-box games like Grand Theft Auto 6(https://www.gamespot.com/games/grand-theft-auto-vi/). There are also concerns that Sony's experiments with dynamic pricing(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/playstations-digital-only-future-makes-sonys-dynamic-pricing-harder-to-ignore/) will charge some players more than others while keeping prices artificially high. To further underscore the lack of permanence in the digital marketplace, Sony has also shared its plans to close the Play Station 3 and Vita online stores(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sony-to-end-playstation-store-support-on-ps3-and-vita/).

🖥 PlayStation, Xbox, Mobile, VR, PCMy Dino Park codes
!(https://assetsio.gnwcdn.com/my-dino-park-codes.jpg?width=690&quality=85&format=jpg&auto=webp) Ever thought you could do a better job than those bozos over at Jurassic Park? My Dino Park is probably up your alley. If you’ve played Roblox in the last year or so, you likely know the drill. You buy Eggs, chuck ‘em in your park and then wait for them to hatch into randomly generated dinosaurs. Luckily, they don't immediately break out either, so you're already gonna be seeing better Yelp reviews than Jurassic Park. The rarer the Dinosaurs you hatch, the more guests will show up to visit, which means more moola you can use to Rebirth and buy better Eggs. However, any fledgling entertainment enterprise needs investments, and our external income is sourced entirely through redeemable codes we can cash in for free goodies, including Eggs, cash and Teeth. So, if you're looking for every active My Dino Park code, we've listed them all below. Read more(https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/roblox-my-dino-park-codes)
🎮 PlayStation, Xbox, Multi-platformAfter PS5 Disc Controversy, Microsoft Confirms Halo: Campaign Evolved Will Come On A Disc
Following Sony's announcement that it will no longer support physical game discs starting in 2028(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sony-confirms-playstation-disc-production-will-end-in-2028/), Microsoft has confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved's physical editions will include discs, including on PS5. Microsoft's announcement likely doesn't have anything to do with Sony's, however. In a Q&A(https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/july-community-qa-halo-campaign-evolved), Microsoft said people who buy a copy of the game will get a physical game case and disc "so that you have tangible items to add to your collection." This applies to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions of the game. The timing of Microsoft's announcement about Campaign Evolved coming on a disc is conspicuous given it happened just after Sony confirmed its all-digital plans. But Microsoft no doubt had been planning to release Campaign Evolved on a disc for a very long time now given the logistics involved. Sony's announcement that PlayStation will no longer support game discs starting in January 2028 might make business sense for the company(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-is-sony-killing-discs-its-all-about-profitability-and-control-expert-says/?thumbnailid=1807886), but it's also causing much consternation. While Sony's own data shows an increasing share of digital game sales, the company still sells many millions of physical, disc-based games every year(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/playstations-disc-based-game-sales-have-dropped-dramatically-in-recent-years/). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZFVVcEM38c A lot of people still enjoy and seek out physical media. The decision has also led to even more concerns about game preservation and fears that Sony will make gaming even more expensive by eliminating the secondhand market. For what it's worth, some are saying the next-gen Project Helix console from Microsoft may not have a disc drive(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/next-gen-xbox-may-not-have-disc-drive-disc-to-digital-feature-coming-reports-say/) in its own push toward digital. It's also been reported that Microsoft may soften the blow with a "disc-to-digital"(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/next-gen-xbox-may-not-have-disc-drive-disc-to-digital-feature-coming-reports-say/) program that will allow people to convert their discs to digital copies. Campaign Evolved is a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved, and if that sounds familiar, it's because Microsoft already released a remaster of the original Halo in 2011 with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Campaign Evolved is a campaign-only remaster of the original game, featuring brand-new prequel missions and a variety of graphical and technical improvements. The game launches on July 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but if you pay more, you can start playing early(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/halo-campaign-evolved-release-date-and-global-launch-times-revealed/). For more, check out GameSpot’s Halo: Campaign Evolved buying guide(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/halo-campaign-evolved-release-date-and-global-launch-times-revealed/Campaign%20Evolved%20buying%20guide).
