🍄 Nintendo Switch, Multi-platformIf You’ve Been Sitting On Xenoblade Chronicles, You Have No Excuse With These New Switch 2 Editions
Xenoblade Chronicles has been one of Nintendo's most significant JRPG series in recent years, but also at a scope pushing the original Switch hardware beyond its limits. So if you've been waiting for a better opportunity to experience these games, Nintendo has announced during the summer Nintendo Direct(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-direct-june-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/) that all three mainline games will be receiving Nintendo Switch 2 editions. And the first game is out digitally today. Originally released for Wii, the first Xenoblade Chronicles almost wasn't released outside of Japan until a fan campaign convinced Nintendo to localise the game. Since then, it's earned a reputation for being one of the best JRPGs, with epic storylines set on vast semi-open world environments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTaD8maruNs While there was a free Switch 2 update for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that improved its performance, the newly announced Switch 2 editions mean that all three mainline games will be getting enhanced visuals and performance, giving you the most definitive version of each game. That doesn't mean this is just for newcomers, since if you already bought these games on Switch, there's also an upgrade path as with other Switch 2 Edition releases. But for fans who have already put in hundreds of hours across Bionis, Alrest, and Mira, there are also exclusive new features to make revisiting worthwhile. That includes a new high-speed vehicle in the first game, new mercenary squad battles in the second game, and new wave-based challenges in the third game. Fortunately, given the time sink these games are, Nintendo has wisely opted to spread these releases out. The Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is out digitally today, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is out digitally on July 30, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is out December 3. Each of these upgrades is priced at $10 for owners of the Switch 1 versions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Remake Of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Drops In 2026
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/09/3a228e8a/zelda02.jpg.webp) After years of rumors, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is officially officially getting a remake for Nintendo Switch 2 and it is coming in 2026, sometime later this year. Ocarina of Time was originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64. The game was a critical and commercial success and is often cited as one the best reviewed games of all time, so the fervor for a remake is not unexpected. The new trailer is minimal, beginning with a voice over from an unknown narrator giving a rundown on the Kokiri, who Link lives amongst at the start of the game. Each child has a fairy, but there's one boy who doesn't have a fairy of his own. The trailer then fades to a young, sleeping Link, who you can see in the image below. He stirs in his sleep, a Triforce symbol glows on his hand, and a modern logo for Ocarina of Time appears on the screen. Despite not seeing much more than that, the game is due to launch in 2026. This, of course, is not the first time Ocarina of Time has been re-released following its initial launch. Ahead of the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in 2002, Nintendo offered reservation customers a pair of GameCube discs that contained a port of Ocarina of Time as well as the not-released-in-North America Master Quest, which rearranged the puzzles in Ocarina of Time. There was also The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, a GameCube game compilation that included The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of time, Majora's Mask, and a demo for Wind Waker. Ocarina of Time was also made available on the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles, and the game is currently available for Switch and Switch 2 as part of the Nintendo Online subscription service. !Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/08/2e2c748b/zeldaocarina.jpg.webp) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (2011) The game has been ported to nearly every Nintendo platform since its original release, but this will actually be the second time Ocarina of Time has been fully remade. In 2011, Ocarina of Time was rebuilt for the 3DS with updated visuals, motion controls, and stereoscopic 3D visuals by developer Grezzo. That version of the game also included Master Quest. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on 2026. 🍄 Nintendo Switch, Multi-platformDeltarune Chapter 5 Revealed, And It’s Out Very Soon
During today's Nintendo Direct(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-direct-june-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/), a new chapter for episodic RPG Deltarune has been announced, and it's out later this month. The follow-up from Toby Fox originally had its first chapter released for free in 2018 on PC, before the game officially went on sale for multiple platforms--and as a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title--which included the first four chapters. Deltarune Chapter 5 will release on June 24, and will be available as a free update on all platforms if you already own the game. Fans who completed Chapter 4 would have noticed after the credits that Chapter 5 was confirmed for 2026. Its arrival a year later means the shortest wait for a new Deltarune chapter so far. According to the game's menu screen, Deltarune is expected to consist of seven chapters, though it's not yet confirmed when these will release. As with Chapter 5, these will also be made available as free updates on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
