Subnautica 2: Where to find Fibrous Pulp
Overview & Key Takeaways

Fibrous Pulp is a key resource in Subnautica 2, which you'll need in bulk if you want access to a host of important recipes. Fibrous Pulp is needed to craft Fiber - and Fiber is used to craft several helpful tools, including speed-boosting fins for fast getaways, or a single bed for those lonely nights.
So, you may be swimming around wondering: where can I find Fibrous Pulp? From the beginning, it's not clear what it looks like or where it's hiding. Sure, you might find it later on with your Scanner in hand, but if you're looking for it in the early game, it's a little harder to find.
Fortunately, I've found it and I do know what it looks like, so here's how to get Fibrous Pulp in Subnautica 2 and get crafting!

Where to find Fibrous Pulp
You can only harvest Fibrous Pulp using a Survival Multitool, so the first step is to craft one in your Fabricator from 3x Titanium.
Fibrous Pulp is found in specific species of flora all over the map, including the starting biome. So far, I've found it in Curtain Gorgon, Whip Gorgon, Cradle Shootroot, Macaron Sponge and Feather Kelp. This list may grow as I continue to play.
All of these can be found pretty near your Lifepod from the very beginning. All you have to do is equip your Survival Multitool, move up to the flora, and right-click to chop at it to harvest all the Fibrous Pulp you need in no time at all!
As for the various species of flora which contain Fibrous Pulp, here's what to look for:

- Curtain Gorgon - Appears like a red-brown and purple cabbage, usually found in clusters in the starting biome.
- Whip Gorgon - Looks like extra-long grass with slightly tinted purple tips. At night, these purple tips will glow making it a lot easier to spot.
- Cradle Shootroot - Has a large glowing orange ball inside blue tendrils. The orange ball is a Lucifer Rotsac ball that can also be retrieved.
- Macaron Sponge - A white tongue-like flora that stands up with a pink ripple on top.
- Feather Kelp - A red and orange wispy flora.
That's everything you need to know about Fibrous Pulp in Subnautica 2, but there's plenty more to find out to aid your exploration in the mysterious depths of the ocean. From how to increase your oxygen supply to how to craft your own Tadpole, we've got you sorted with our helpful guides!
