📱 MobileWarframe releases awesome trailer for next narrative chapter, Jade Shadows: Constellations
Digital Extremes is not a developer to relax and revel in their successes. They'll release a cool new wolf-related individual, and rather than celebrating that, they move on to another, usually awesome-looking thing. In this case, that's the next narrative chapter, Jade Shadows: Constellations, which will arrive sometime in June. And much like their inability to sit still, they rarely put in minimal effort with announcements, either. Rather than just throw out a regular trailer with a few musical stings, they've teamed up with prog metalcore band Erra and BAFTA animation studio The Line to create a badass video that makes me posit the question, “Waframe anime when?” Check it out below. Although there is a ton of flashing colours. Therefore, proceed at your own risk. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/warframe/jade-shadows-constellations-announcement/)
📱 MobileGenesis War, Line Games' turn-based RPG, will release globally for iOS and Android this week
Despite only soft-launching Genesis War in Canada, Australia, and Indonesia two weeks ago, Line Games has decided that their latest gacha RPG is now ready for a global release. On April 28th (that's tomorrow if you never look at your calendar), it'll arrive on iOS and Android across the world. It's not entirely surprising that we're seeing a quick turnaround, of course. After all, Genesis War first debuted in Korea in 2024, where it quickly became pretty darn popular. So, it was likely a matter of testing a few things before setting it free for everyone to, hopefully, enjoy. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/genesis-war/release-date/)
📱 MobileStarfling is casual one-tap arcade fun with rewarded ads and a one-time purchase option
Why the proper pronunciation of the title eluded me for the first few seconds of looking at it is beyond me, but Starfling should be as WYSIWYG as it gets. Essentially, you fling a star (or a ship) across the galaxy with simple one-tap controls - so really, the fact that I initially thought it was called "starf-ling" is on me. The gameplay is a convenient tap-to-release affair where you fly from one star to the next endlessly. The perfect timing can help you chain epic combos together, and as you go further and further, you get bigger and bigger points. It's a beat-your-own-high-score kind of deal, and therein lies the satisfaction of this whole endeavour. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/starfling/launch/)
📱 MobileBattle Fate offers a deep strategic battler on iOS and Android with turn-based missions and unit permadeath
We cover all kinds of adventures on mobile over here at PG Towers, and occasionally, in the midst of all the big blockbuster releases filled with gacha pulls and casual puzzlers, a quiet little gem drops - which is Battle Fate, in this case. The indie project features hex-based grids that'll put your tactical prowess to the test, and given that it's solo-developed, that simply makes it even more impressive, in my opinion. Out now on iOS and Android, the premium battler offers a linear narrative that spans a whopping 10 hours across a dark fantasy theme. Battles are a 5 to 30-minute turn-based affair, in which you'll command units that have their own distinct roles across three different Factions. ... 📱 MobileThe Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross launches third crossover with Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- with plenty of collab goodies
Third time's the charm, as they say! With The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' 7th anniversary festivities still underway, Netmarble doesn't seem to be stopping with its celebrations any time soon - especially with the announcement of a new crossover within the RPG. In particular, you can look forward to welcoming the world of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- to the fray, which is actually the third time the anime's popped up. ... 📱 Mobile, Multi-platformPragmata's ending, explained: What happened to Hugh and Diana?
Capcom's Pragmata has been a roaring success. It takes bold swings with its gameplay and narrative, and the boldness of its ending pays off.
📱 Mobile, Multi-platformPragmata’s star shares how his experience as ‘the world's best uncle’ helped him bring Hugh to life
Pragmata's lead actor David Menkin brought a very personal touch to his role as Hugh, and that personal experience shines through in his performance.
📱 MobileFree Fire x Gintama crossover will bring themed skins, comedy, and fourth-wall breaks
Free Fire went underwater a couple of weeks ago. Naturally, the next step was samurai, fourth-wall jokes, and a man who’d absolutely rather be doing anything else. Free Fire is teaming up with Gintama for a limited-time crossover, and it’s exactly as bizarre as that combination sounds. Gintoki, Kagura, and Elizabeth drop straight into the battlefield, bringing that very specific brand of “serious fight, completely unserious tone” with them. And it’s not just skins slapped onto existing assets either. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/garena-free-fire/gintama-collab-event/)
The Video Games You Should Play This Weekend – April 24
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/04/24/f4d627c6/vampsur.jpg.webp) There are some very exciting games coming out next week that we posted reviews for this week that you still need to wait for. I am sorry it worked out this way. We are not trying to brag that we already played Saros(https://gameinformer.com/review/saros/at-the-mountains-of-magnificence) and Diablo IV's Lord of Hatred expansion(https://gameinformer.com/review/diablo-iv-lord-of-hatred/embrace-the-hate). But we do want to let you know that they are good, we promise! We also reviewed Tide of Tomorrow(https://gameinformer.com/review/tides-of-tomorrow/an-effective-ripple-effect), though, and that one you can play right now. Thankfully, there is still plenty to get excited for this weekend. But before that, here are a bunch of the week's links that we recommend checking out. - Saros Review - At The Mountains Of Magnificence(https://gameinformer.com/review/saros/at-the-mountains-of-magnificence) - Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Review - Embrace The Hate(https://gameinformer.com/review/diablo-iv-lord-of-hatred/embrace-the-hate) - Tides of Tomorrow Review - An Effective Ripple Effect(https://gameinformer.com/review/tides-of-tomorrow/an-effective-ripple-effect) - Xbox Drops Prices For Game Pass Ultimate And PC Game Pass But New Call Of Duty Games Will No Longer Join The Library At Launch(https://gameinformer.com/2026/04/21/xbox-drops-prices-for-game-pass-ultimate-and-pc-game-pass-but-new-call-of-duty-games) - Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Officially Announced(https://gameinformer.com/preview/2026/04/23/long-lost-treasure) - The Blood Of Dawnwalker’s Release Date And Other New Details Will Be Revealed Next Week(https://gameinformer.com/2026/04/22/the-blood-of-dawnwalkers-release-date-and-other-new-details-will-be-revealed-next-week) !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/01/22/50782494/VCScreenshot5.jpg.webp) Vampire Crawlers Brian Shea As a diehard Vampire Survivors fan, I was intrigued to see Poncle's next project emerge as a dungeon-crawling deckbuilder. Vampire Crawlers brings over many of the same characters, weapons, powers, conventions, and enemies, but through recontextualizing them in this way, it flips the entire experience on its head. I'm having a blast exploring these maps in the first-person view, taking on swarms of enemies, pilfering loot, and building an ultimate deck en route to my ultimate demise at the hands of the monsters with whom I've spent tens of hours slaying in Poncle's previous smash-hit title. I haven't spent enough time in Vampire Crawlers to render my final verdict, but my early impressions are positive. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/04/24/18d41659/sayolore.jpg.webp) Sayonara Wild Hearts & Lorelei And The Laser Eyes Kyle Hilliard Earlier this week, Annapurna announced its plans to release some of its games on Switch 2 and that two would be available immediately: Sayonara Wild Hearts(https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/09/17/sayonara-wild-hearts-review) and Lorelei And The Laser Eyes(https://gameinformer.com/review/lorelei-and-the-laser-eyes/laser-focused-epiphany). I reviewed both of these games and you can find them by following the links. I like Sayonara Wild Hearts and listen to its soundtrack often. I particularly like its rendition of Clair de lune. The game feels like playing through an interactive music video. I feel stronger, however, about Lorelei And The Laser Eyes. When it was released in 2024, I booted it up not with the intention to play and beat it, but rather just to check it out so I could talk about it a little on a podcast. I was so quickly enamored with it, however, that I played through the whole game and wrote a review for it, which is not something I often do. It's just a great, moody, rewarding puzzle game with an interesting story that examines the ideas behind creating art and the value of doing so. If you happened to miss it in 2024 and you have a Switch 2 (and you like puzzles) I can't recommend it enough. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/04/24/c5644691/diablo%20iv%20boss%20fight.jpg.webp) Diablo IV Marcus Stewart With the impending launch of Diablo IV’s second big story expansion, Lord of Hatred, next week, this weekend is a great opportunity to return to Sanctuary. Whether it’s to shake off any rust, catch up on the story via the base campaign or the Vessel of Hatred expansion, or to stop Lilith for the first time, the existing package is already a strong experience worth playing. It’s also a good chance to re-familiarize yourself with the available content and features to appreciate what Lord of Hatred brings to the table (spoiler: it’s a fun expansion, as explained in my review(https://gameinformer.com/review/diablo-iv-lord-of-hatred/embrace-the-hate)). !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/04/24/ca3fac47/ss8824811010bf2e17a2cdec44effb76df67f6ac57.1920x1080.jpg.webp) Titanium Court Kyle Hilliard I often contend to anyone who will listen that 2015's You Must Build A Boat(https://gameinformer.com/games/youmustbuildaboat/b/ios/archive/2015/06/09/you-must-build-a-boat-review-game-informer.aspx) from designer Luca Redwood, to this day, is my favorite mobile game. It is the sequel to the also-excellent 10000000(https://gameinformer.com/blogs/editors/b/gikyleblog/archive/2012/11/30/10000000-is-the-perfect-mobile-game.aspx) and combines a great-feeling match-three puzzle game with some simple base building and RPG mechanics. Since playing those games, I have always been on the lookout for games that take match-three mechanics and combine them with rewarding upgrade systems in a comparable way. I am not far into Titanium Court, but it has the potential to hit those same high notes that I loved from Redwood's games, and it is wrapped in a clever narrative package that I am already fairly charmed by. In Titanium Court, you play a match-three puzzle game to collect resources and defend your home castle. Moving tiles feels good, and watching the defense battles play out as a result of the arrangement of the tiles is an interesting palette cleanser. I need to play more (and can now that Saros is kind of behind me(https://gameinformer.com/review/saros/at-the-mountains-of-magnificence)), but I am enjoying it so far. And while we're kind of on the topic of Luca Redwood games, you should also check out Photographs(https://gameinformer.com/review/photographs/captivating-vignettes-about-regrets), a great little puzzle game with small short stories that have really stuck with me even after all these years.
📱 MobileMahjong Soul teams up with Sword Art Online for a special collaboration
Ah, mahjong, the game for people who feel that chess is too straightforward and simplistic. But this complex game of matching tiles has nonetheless captured the imagination of many generations, not least via mobile versions such as Mahjong Soul. And as we usually do with any mobile puzzler, it's the latest collaboration that we're taking a look at today! This time around, Mahjong Soul is teaming up with Sword Art Online for a brand-new collaboration running until May 12th. The collaboration will feature key, fan-favourite characters drawn from the hit series, such as Kirito, Asuna, Sinon and Leafa. ... 📱 MobileInmost is an intriguing horror side-scroller that's now on Google Play Pass
As we wrap up for the day, it's time to cover something that was somewhat of a surprise. Yes, Google Play Pass is still a thing! And while it may not claim as many great exclusives as competitor Apple Arcade, there are still some exciting games on offer. That includes the latest addition, Inmost, a retro, horror-themed side-scroller that you may remember us covering when it initially made the jump to mobile last year. And aside from just its gorgeous pixel graphics, there's plenty to enjoy here. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/inmost/free-on-google-play-pass/)
📱 MobileMinishoot Adventures is an open-world bullet hell that's making its way to mobile
In the immortal words of David Lynch, if you can believe it, it's a Friday once again. And we've still got some exciting news to cover, including the imminent arrival of an intriguing new mobile port, for none other than the exciting open-world bullet-hell Minishoot Adventures. Yes, you heard right. Minishoot Adventures takes the fast-paced bullet-hell action of a space shooter and mixes it with open-world exploration. Offering up a world where the story emerges the more you explore, you take control of a small, nimble spaceship battling enormous alien forces with nothing but your agility and some really powerful weaponry. ...
