Brutal First-Person Horror Game ILL Still Looks Terrifying In New Story Trailer

!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/02/84ac5913/illscreen2026.jpg.webp) Team Clout once again revealed its first-person horror game Ill during today's State of Play. To the surprise of no one who has kept up with the game since its original reveal last summer(https://gameinformer.com/sgf-2025/2025/06/06/ill-is-a-survival-horror-game-made-by-people-who-worked-on-longlegs-it), it looks as gruesome as ever. Today's trailer showed a bit more story, with the protagonist exploring a fort overtaken by some type of evil entity. The facility is filled with horrors ranging from infant-like creatures to hallway-filling monstrosities. Today's trailer is definitely not for the faint of heart, but feel free to give yourself some nightmare fuel by giving it a watch. Ill has no release date but it's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Empulse Is A 6v6 Titanfall 2-Like FPS From The Splitgate Devs

!Empulse Titanfall 2 Shooter FPS 6v6 Splitgate Devs 1047 Games Early Access(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/02/fa72cba5/empulse11.jpeg.webp) Splitgate(https://www.gameinformer.com/2025/12/04/splitgate-2-has-been-rebooted-as-splitgate-arena-reloaded-and-it-relaunches-this-month) developer 1047 Games has released the first-ever cinematic trailer for Empulse(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/empulse-early-access), its in-development 6v6 first-person shooter, and it sure does remind us of Titanfall 2(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/titanfall-2), but that's by design because the team is not hiding its inspiration. The game is set to launch into Early Access sometime in the future, though it doesn't specify on which platforms. However, you can wishlist the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, so it's presumably at least going to be playable there. The cinematic trailer gives a quick look at this neo-futuristic world where Empulse's first-person shooting action takes place, and of course, there are grapple hooks, wall-running, jump pads, and mechs. Alongside this cinematic trailer, released yesterday, 1047 Games says it will reveal the first-ever look at Empulse gameplay on Sunday, June 7, during the PC Gaming Show (just one of the many Summer Games Fest-adjacent showcases(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/05/19/the-2026-summer-showcase-schedule)). Check out the Empulse cinematic reveal trailer for yourself below: 1047 Games describes Empulse as a "fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter set in the post-utopian streets of Freehold," where wall-running, grappling, holojumps, and more form the foundation of every fight and "where player-controllable mechs become the most contested objective." The team also makes clear that Empulse is directly inspired by Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall series. "Our dream has always been to be a multi-game studio, and this is the kind of game we love making: a fast, arcade-style FPS gameplay that rewards player expression and skill," a post on X(https://x.com/PlayEmpulse/status/2061508486295704027) from the studio reads. "That is the type of gameplay we love, and Empulse is the purest version of that idea we have built so far. We have a lot of Titanfall fans on this team, and we have heard a lot of the same from our community over the years. More movement. More verticality. More ways to express yourself in a fight. Empulse is our answer to that." In Empulse, you can wall-run forward and backward, use a grappling hook to swing and close gaps, and jump via holojumps to experience a snowboard-like sensation of momentum. You can also deploy Plasma Activated Infusion of Nano-Tech (P.A.I.N.T.). Bombs to make different surfaces behave in unique ways that include speed and jump boosts, new lines that didn't exist prior to the deployment, and more. Here are some additional Empulse screenshots: The studio says mechs are the "true power spike" in Empulse, adding that they change the energy of a match the second they arrive. "Instead of being something every player calls in throughout each game, mechs spawn on the map as the most powerful objective in the match, and your crew has to fight for control of them," the post on X reads. "Think of it like fighting over the rocket launcher in classic Halo, except this rocket launcher walks, has unique abilities, and a massive health pool." Empulse is expected to launch into Early Access sometime this year. Do you think this features the right Titanfall vibes? Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Delayed To August Following Playtests And Player Feedback

!Hell Let Loose Vietnam Expression Games Team 17 August Release Date(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/05/14/ba536fd1/hllvscreenshot2.jpg.webp) Publisher Team17 and developer Expression Games have delayed Hell Let Loose: Vietnam(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/hell-let-loose-vietnam), its quasi-sequel to WW2 shooter Hell Let Loose(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/hell-let-loose), to August 13 following feedback from players in recent open betas and in internal playtests. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam was originally due out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on June 18(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/05/14/hell-let-loose-vietnam-gets-june-release-date-open-beta-later-this-month), but will now launch roughly two months later on those same platforms. "We have been so excited watching you share your experiences and seeing the great videos from our War Correspondents and being able to receive and implement your important feedback throughout both our Closed and Open Betas," a press release reads. "In addition to your feedback, we have also been carrying out intensive internal playtests for both the PC and console versions of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and we have identified several areas where additional development time will allow us to deliver a stronger launch experience. "Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the launch to August 13. This will ensure that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches at the quality level we expect and you deserve." The most recent open beta started May 29 and ended June 1, but closed betas were held before that. It seems that feedback from those betas, alongside feedback from internal playtests, has helped Expression Games identify areas for improvement, and the team is taking extra time to shore up the loose ends. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 13. In the meantime, read Game Informer's in-depth behind-the-scenes feature about the development of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam(https://www.gameinformer.com/feature/2026/05/12/warm-blood-hot-mics), based on two hours of hands-on time and exclusive interviews with Expression Games and Team17. Did you play in the recent Hell Let Loose: Vietnam beta? Let us know what you think of it in the comments below!

Halo 3 “1v1 Me Bro” Tournament Announced, Top Prize Is A Legendary Console🟩 Xbox, Multi-platform

Halo 3 “1v1 Me Bro” Tournament Announced, Top Prize Is A Legendary Console

GameStop has announced a 1v1 Halo 3 tournament, and the top prize is one of the best-looking Xbox consoles ever designed. The retailer is hosting a one-day tournament at its Euless, Texas location on Saturday, June 6 where people can square off against Michael “Flamesword” Chaves(https://halo-esports.fandom.com/wiki/Flamesword) for a chance to win the Xbox 360 Halo 3 edition console. The system, which was originally released in 2007 for Halo 3's launch, has a tasty color palette that's meant to match Master Chief's own color scheme. !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-9.30.52-AM.png?w=811) The fine print of the "1v1 Me Bro" tournament states that you must be 18 or older to participate, and the contest is taking place with a first-come queue. The first person to beat Flamesword will win the contest and the event will end. There are no other details, but presumably the contest will be played on an Xbox 360. If you want the Halo 3 Xbox 360 but don't want to play in the tournament, you can buy it from GameStop for $100(https://www.gamestop.com/gaming-accessories/controllers/xbox-360/products/microsoft-xbox-360-console-with-wired-controller---halo-3/106637.html). If you're interested in attending the contest, you can visit the GameStop store at 1301 W Glade Road in Euless, Texas.(https://maps.app.goo.gl/vvoV39B15VCkF9aF8) The event begins at 5 PM on June 6. In other GameStop news, the retailer is currently trying to acquire eBay, but the auction site flatly rejected the video game store's $56 billion offer(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ebays-rejection-letter-to-gamestops-56-billion-bid-pulls-absolutely-no-punches/1100-6539894/?previewid=1755912&previewnonce=3c381d2c40&preview=true&thumbnailid=1755913). In other Halo news, Halo: Campaign Evolved(Campaign Evolved) is coming this year and we could learn more about it during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-ceo-says-showing-ps5-switch-logos-during-xbox-showcase-is-bad-actually/).

Don’t Have a Switch 2 To Play Star Fox? Try This Upcoming PS5 And Xbox Game Instead🎮 PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Multi-platform

Don’t Have a Switch 2 To Play Star Fox? Try This Upcoming PS5 And Xbox Game Instead

If you're yearning for a modern reinterpretation of Star Fox's rail-shooter gameplay but don't own a Switch 2 to play the upcoming remake(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/star-fox-buying-guide/1100-6539831/), then you'll want to consider playing Wild Blue Skies. Developed by Chuhai Labs and published by Balor Games, the game got a release date during today's The Mix Summer Game Showcase. Specifically, Wild Blue Skies will be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 13. Like Star Fox, it's a sci-fi rail shooter starring anthropomorphic animals. In this case, players control a dog named Bowie Stray who is on a mission with the Blue Bombers to stop Grimclaw (this game's version of Andross). They do so during on-rails missions where players have to fly across alien planets and deal with whatever obstacles or gimmicks each level throws at them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdRggRKhNMk There's a free demo of Wild Blue Skies you can try on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/1921490/WildBlueSkies/). When you play it, you'll find that it's a very polished spiritual successor to classic games like Star Fox. It doesn't reinvent the genre, but at the time of its reveal, it did not need to. When Wild Blue Skies was first announced last year, the Star Fox series had been missing in action for several years as Nintendo did not seem interested in continuing it. The game also had the pedigree of being worked on by Giles Goddard(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/former-star-fox-dev-is-releasing-a-spiritual-successor/1100-6536486/), one of the programmers of the original Star Fox. That changed in April, when Nintendo revealed a Star Fox 64 remake for Nintendo Switch 2, simply titled Star Fox(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/star-fox-on-switch-2-isnt-just-a-retread-its-a-fresh-start/1100-6539843/). That game is out on June 25, beating Wild Blue Skies to the punch by about a month and a half. Still, Wild Blue Skies won't have its thunder completely stolen, as it's not coming out on any Nintendo systems. When it comes out on August 13, Wild Blue Skies can serve as a nice alternative for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players who can't play the new Star Fox. Perhaps both of these games can kick off a renaissance for the rail shooter genre as a whole.
