New Call Of Duty Cover Leak Looks Like It Was Taken Through A Shower Door🎮 Multi-platform

New Call Of Duty Cover Leak Looks Like It Was Taken Through A Shower Door

Around this time on the gaming calendar, you can usually count on a few things to appear: far too many gaming showcases and a new look at the next Call of Duty. Ahead of its upcoming reveal, it looks like key art for the game--and as rumored, it's Modern Warfare 4(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-4-revealed-and-it-wont-be-on-game-pass/1100-6539644/)--has popped up, although you'll have to squint your eyes really, really hard to make out what it is--almost like a '90s 3D painting, taunting us with the image of a potential three-dimensional sailboat(https://youtu.be/ZbKU3H3FVw). Billbil-Kin--who has a solid track record with leaks--has posted a very blurry image(https://x.com/billbilkun/status/2059627233795268690) "for one of Activision's games," and we're betting it's not a Tony Hawk's Underground remaster. Look closely, and you'll see what appears to be three soldiers advancing forward. That's a considerable upgrade from your typical Call of Duty cover, which usually features a single soldier front and center. Longtime Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward is expected to be the lead developer on this year's entry in the series, and it recently teased(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/modern-warfare-4-reveal-looks-imminent-as-infinity-ward-teases-a-relentless-experience/1100-6540082/) that its next game will be a "bold" and "relentless" combat experience. This year sees some big changes to how Call of Duty is released, as there won't be a day-one launch(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/game-pass-gets-price-drop-new-call-of-duty-games-no-longer-included/1100-6539523/) through Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft's subscription service is widely thought to have contributed to the worst Call of Duty sales year since 2008(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/black-ops-7-had-call-of-dutys-worst-sales-year-ranking-in-the-us-since-2008/1100-6537567/), and in the future, new Call of Duty games will only come to Game Pass around a year after launch. A full retail launch for Modern Warfare 4 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S is predicted to be a massive financial success, but it'll also be facing off against Rockstar’s GTA 6(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/grand-theft-auto-6-everything-we-know/1100-6503729/) in November, which could have a significant impact on the game's bottom line. It wouldn't be the first time that a new release from Rockstar Games has outsold Call of Duty, as Red Dead Redemption 2 managed this rare feat(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/red-dead-2-was-the-uss-best-selling-game-in-2018-b/1100-6464535/) back in 2018 when it went up against Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. First is the reveal of a new Dragon Quest Monster game and the announcement that the most recent mainline game is coming to Switch 2. Today's broadcast ended with a brief teaser announcing Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World. The game stars dual protagonists Bianca and Nera, who series fans may remember from Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, but no other plot or gameplay details were shared. As for the release window, the trailer only states that it's "coming soon" and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC.  Check out the trailer below. Next, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is coming to Switch 2 on September 24. The game is an enhanced version of the 2018 RPG that includes new story content, the ability to switch between 3D and 2D modes, and other features. The Switch 2 version also boasts new Graphics and Performance modes.

Dragon Quest XII’s Development Was Restarted From Scratch And It Has A New Name And Trailer

!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/05/27/de9c7528/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-5.jpg.webp) Today’s Dragon Quest Day livestream was almost entirely dedicated to sharing updates on Dragon Quest XII, though it’s likely not the news fans were hoping for. We now know what’s been taking the long-awaited RPG so long to make another appearance: its development has been restarted from scratch. Dragon Quest creator and game designer Yuji Horii and Dragon Quest XII executive producer Yosuke Saito hosted the presentation, and cut straight to the chase; the game formerly known as Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate(https://gameinformer.com/2021/05/27/dragon-quest-xii-the-flames-of-fate-announced-a-darker-turn-for-the-series), first announced in 2021, is no more, as the team has taken the game back to the drawing board. “We’re hard at work on XII but due to a reshuffle of the team and a restart of development, it’s going to be a bit longer till it’s in your hands,” says Saito. “Work on the original version, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, hit a lot of hurdles along the way. But as we kept talking with Mr. Horii and pinned down what a mainline Dragon Quest game should look like, we decided to move things around and start over from scratch.” Saito continues by saying that, despite being a major change, the team believes it was the right decision to ensure Dragon Quest XII lives up to fan expectations. The game has been renamed to Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams, and a short teaser trailer shows off scenic environments, such as a castle and Dragon Quest XII’s protagonist sprinting and jumping across what appears to be a large open world. He runs from grassy fields to a beach to a desert, with monsters roaming in the background. We also spot other characters such as a woman fixing a ship, a floating robot, and an armor-clad humanoid lizard. Yuji Horii reveals that the game’s protagonist experiences strange visions in their sleep. “What lies beyond dreams? Surely not a world of darkness but a bright and exciting future,” says Horii. The creator then says that Dragon Quest XII has gone in a “different direction” than what was originally announced, but declines to share more story details. Horii does, however, confirm that Dragon Quest XII will still feature Akira Toriyama’s character art and Koichi Sugiyama’s music. Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dream did not get a release window or confirmed platforms, but Horii says, “The game’s coming along really well, so I hope you look forward to the next announcement.” While it's exciting to see footage of this new version of Dragon Quest XII, it’s hard not to feel mixed emotions given that its launch still seems very far away. When the game was first announced, it was billed as having a darker, more adult-oriented tone that heavily emphasized player choice. While Beyond Dreams looks a lot cheerier than that initial premise, it will be interesting to see if the choice-driven design and any other ideas from the original version of XII will be re-incorporated in some way. !(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/05/27/ed442987/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-3.jpg.webp)!(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/05/27/0eb70ce0/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-6.jpg.webp)!(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/05/27/0fa6ed35/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-7.jpg.webp)!(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/05/27/9f921808/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-4.jpg.webp)!(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/entitybrowserthumbnail/public/2026/05/27/5bac3644/dragon-quest-12-beyond-dreams-screen-8.jpg.webp)

Dragon Quest 12 Development Restarted From Scratch After “A Lot Of Hurdles”

Dragon Quest celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, a new update was given on the long-in-development Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dragon-quest-12-the-flames-of-fate-announced/1100-6492022/). First announced five years ago(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dragon-quest-12-the-flames-of-fate-announced/1100-6492022/), the game won't be out for quite a while yet, as executive producer Yosuke Saito announced that development had been restarted on the project and it has a brand-new name--Dragon Quest 12: Beyond Dreams "We're hard at work on Dragon Quest 12, but due to a reshuffle of the team and a restart of development, it's going to be a bit longer until it's in your hands," Saito said in a Dragon Quest livestream. "Work on the original version, Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate, hit a lot of hurdles along the way. But as we kept talking with Mr. Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest game designer) and pinned down what a mainline Dragon Quest game should look like, we decided to move things around and start over from scratch. It was a major decision, but I believe it was the right one to ensure the next Dragon Quest game will be one that all you fans of the series will really love." Saito then debuted a sneak peek at the game, revealing a colorful collection of scenes featuring new characters, landscapes, and monsters. One thing that has been preserved for Dragon Quest 12 is its art direction, as it's still heavily inspired by the work of Akira Toriyama. The late Dragon Ball creator was a character designer on the series since its inception and worked on every entry in the main series until his death in 2024(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/akira-toriyama-dragon-ball-manga-creator-dies-at-68/1100-6521704/). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCRie0bKvtE Development on Dragon Quest 12(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dragon-quest-producer-steps-down-due-to-repeated-delays-of-next-mainline-title-report/1100-6522431/) hit a rocky patch in 2024, when series producer Yu Miyake reportedly stepped down due to repeated delays. Updates have been sporadic on the game, which follows the last mainline installment, 2018's Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Fortunately, the franchise has expanded with spin-offs over the years, and fans can look forward to Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World. Launching for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Switch 2 in the near future, the spin-off is a creature-collecting game that's not too dissimilar from Pokemon, but with a signature Dragon Quest touch. Kingdom Come Dev Teases Lord Of The Rings Game And Next Kingdom Come Project

Kingdom Come developer Warhorse Studios has multiple new games in the works, including a game set in Middle-earth and another game set in the Kingdom Come universe. During a recent broadcast(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0Vn-OZHvIM), the developer shared new updates about both projects. The next Kingdom Come game--which Warhorse stopped short of calling Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3--is set for release during the company's next fiscal year, IGN reported(https://www.ign.com/articles/kingdom-come-deliverance-developer-teases-its-lord-of-the-rings-open-world-rpg). That means it is expected to arrive between April 2027 and March 2028. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0Vn-OZHvIM Not much is known about the game apart from it being labeled an "open-world RPG" and a "new Kingdom Come adventure." "We still continue expanding the universe of Kingdom Come," Warhorse communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling said, as reported by IGN(https://www.ign.com/articles/kingdom-come-dev-confirms-next-installment-is-an-open-world-rpg-set-to-launch-next-fiscal-year). "That is also very dear to us. Do not forget that Kingdom Come: Deliverance always was and still is and always will be an absolute passion project here in the studio." Stolz-Zwilling said it's important that Kingdom Come fans "don't have to wait seven years for another Kingdom Come." And while next financial year is the "aim" for the new Kingdom Come game, Stolz-Zwilling reminded everyone that game development can be messy, so the release target projection could change. Deliverance 2 lead designer Prokop Jirsa is in charge of the team making the next Kingdom Come game, while Deliverance 2 design director Viktor Bocan leading the development of the untitled Lord of the Rings game. Stolz-Zwilling said Warhorse has assembled a "mind-blowing team" to make the Lord of the Rings game, and it's aiming to be "deeply immersive" and a game that has a "living world" featuring "interesting characters, memorable places, and of course a strong narrative focus." Beyond these two projects, Warhorse is working on a movie version of Kingdom Come(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/a-kingdom-come-movie-is-now-in-the-works/1100-6538372/). In addition to Warhorse's The Lord of the Rings game, Tomb Raider studio Crystal Dynamics is said to be working on its own The Lord of the Rings project(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-the-lord-of-the-rings-game-coming-from-tomb-raider-studio-report/1100-6539137/). Both studios are owned by Embracer, which itself owns the gaming rights to The Lord of the Rings.

Resident Evil Requiem Free Demo Arrives, But It Has An Annoying Limitation

A free demo for Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem has arrived, but it features a major limitation. Save data from the demo does not carry over to the full version, so anyone who likes their experience in the demo and goes on to buy the game will need to start over. The free Requiem demo includes a portion of the game's "early stages." You can use the links below to queue up the Requiem demo on your preferred platform: - PS5(https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0102-PPSA3080300-REREQUIEMDEMO001) - Xbox Series X|S(https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/store/resident-evil-requiem-demo/9ng412cg7bgk) - PC(https://store.steampowered.com/app/3764200/ResidentEvilRequiem/) - Switch 2(https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/resident-evil-requiem-switch-2/?srsltid=AfmBOopIrFAmT2N0VbFIhGDflnLh0IX0PXqwuInRc-73cZ-ieg7nOeR) Requiem released at the end of February this year and has sold more than 7 million copies so far. It ranks as the No. 1 best-selling game in the US so far in 2026. In March, Capcom announced plans to expand the game with new content and a story expansion(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/resident-evil-requiem-is-getting-new-story-content-along-with-photo-mode-and-a-minigame/1100-6538680/). Beyond ongoing updates to Requiem, the Resident Evil franchise will expand in September with Weapons and Barbarian director Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/resident-evil-movie-release-date-cast-story/1100-6534453/). It's not based on any specific Resident Evil game, but aims to capture the essence and tone of Capcom's franchise.

The Witcher 3: Songs Of The Past Is A New Expansion Starring Geralt And It Launches Next Year

!The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Songs of the Past DLC Expansion CD Projekt Red Geralt of Rivia(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/05/27/d7bbdc44/Witcher%20DLC%20.jpg.webp) The Witcher IV(https://gameinformer.com/product/the-witcher-iv) and Cyberpunk 2077(https://gameinformer.com/review/cyberpunk-2077/cyberpunk-2077-review-a-wild-time-in-night-city) developer CD Projekt Red has announced a new DLC expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt(https://gameinformer.com/product/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt). Yes, you read that right – it's for the game that launched in 2015. It's called Songs of the Past, stars Geralt of Rivia, and launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2027. There's no word on what to expect in this expansion, as the only thing CDPR has revealed is the title and the key art (see header image), but given the name, it might see Geralt battling something from his past. CDPR is developing the expansion with Fools Theory(https://gameinformer.com/2022/10/04/cd-projekt-red-announces-new-cyberpunk-game-multiple-witcher-games-and-new-ip), the studio that is developing a remake of the first Witcher game(https://gameinformer.com/2022/10/26/cd-projekt-red-reveals-codename-canis-majoris-is-a-remake-of-the-first-witcher-game). The teams will reveal more information about Songs of the Past in "late Summer 2026." Songs of the Past will be a nice return/finale for Geralt, considering the next mainline Witcher game, The Witcher IV, will see you play as Ciri, the Witcher-in-training who tagged along with Geralt in The Witcher 3(https://gameinformer.com/games/thewitcher3wildhunt/b/playstation4/archive/2015/05/12/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-review-game-informer.aspx). With a new expansion coming in 2027, it's likely that even more new players will check out The Witcher 3, which has already surpassed 60 million copies sold since its 2015 launch. While waiting to learn more about Songs of the Past, head to Game Informer's coverage hub for The Blood of Dawnwalker(https://gameinformer.com/dawnwalker), which is a game being developed by a team of CDPR veterans and the latest game to grace our cover(https://gameinformer.com/cover-reveal/2026/05/12/cover-reveal-the-blood-of-dawnwalker). Red Dead Online A “Missed Opportunity”? No Way, Take-Two CEO Says🎮 Multi-platform

Red Dead Online A “Missed Opportunity”? No Way, Take-Two CEO Says

Red Dead Redemption 2's multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, did not achieve the same level of success and popularity that GTA Online did, but Rockstar owner Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick wants people to know the game overall was still a gigantic hit. Red Dead Online was supported with major updates in the years after the game launched in 2018. However, Rockstar dialed things back and the game no longer receives the kind of regular, meaty updates it once did or similar kinds of expansions that GTA Online gets. Zelnick told IGN(https://www.ign.com/articles/take-two-ceo-pushes-back-against-suggestion-red-dead-online-was-a-missed-opportunity) that he does not see Red Dead Online as being a "missed opportunity," and his evidence? The game sold 85 million copies and has become the No. 4 best-selling game in the history of video games(https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/top-10-best-selling-video-games-of-all-time/2900-4814/), recently surpassing Wii Sports. "There is literally nothing about Red Dead selling 85 million units that could signal a missed opportunity. And Red Dead Online has been immensely successful and long lasting," Zelnick said. The executive also theorized that Red Dead, as a franchise, would be seen in a different light if it wasn't made by the same company that makes GTA games. “I think if we didn't have Grand Theft Auto here at our company, then people would just talk about the fact that we have this massive franchise in Red Dead, which we do and of which we're very proud,” he said. “I actually personally think Red Dead is just amazing and I love engaging with it. And I think the reason it continues to sell is that it's just spectacular entertainment. It's beautiful and it feels very up to date despite the fact that it's not a new title.” Red Dead Redemption 2 sold a further 3 million copies between January and March, and that was among the highest quarterly sales total since the game launched in October 2018. Of course, the game has been heavily discounted since launch; it's now available for $15 on PS5 and $20 on Xbox Series X|S with a temporary discount. The game is also part of the PlayStation Plus catalog for subscribers. Red Dead Online, meanwhile, is available as a standalone purchase for $20, but it's currently 50% off right now on console. Red Dead Redemption 2 came to PC about a year after it debuted on console, and people have created all manner of unique and creative mods for PC. Given the huge success of Rockstar's Red Dead games, it seems likely the developer will eventually return to the series with a new installment, but nothing is confirmed for now. Next up for Rockstar is the November launch of GTA 6, which is launching first on console and presumably coming to PC later.
