New Crazy Taxi Game Revealed Using That Classic Offspring Song

As part of the Xbox Games Showcase(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-game-showcase-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-so-far/), Sega officially unveiled Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a reboot of the classic arcade game. It will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The brief gameplay teaser indicates that a lot of familiar elements from the original game will be returning, from a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge that confirms San Francisco as a location, Axel, one of the series' original drivers, who is also seen driving a passenger with a spiky punk hairdo. It's also soundtracked to the The Offspring's 'All I Want', an iconic song that featured in the original game. But as the title, and a previous developer interview(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-crazy-taxi-game-takes-the-open-world-route-with-mmo-elements/1100-6524616/), hints, this new entry will also reportedly feature online multiplayer elements set in an open world. While that is not explicitly shown in the this teaser, it does however end with a new driver parking up next to Axel and connecting with him via smartphone. The Crazy Taxi series has been effectively on ice for years, but during its glory days in the early 2000s, it was one of the premier arcade "racers," if you can call it that. It was famous not just for its delivery-based gameplay and distinct art style, but also for its soundtrack, which featured tunes from punk-rock legends Bad Religion and The Offspring. A reboot of Crazy Taxi was first announced back at The Game Awards 2023 with a trailer from Sega that also indicated that reboots for its other classic, dormant IP was coming, including Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe. Of the games announced in development, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is the only to have been released so far. Sega has however confirmed that these projects are still in development, despite the cancellation of its Super Game. Crazy Taxi: World Tour will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

Spyro The Dragon Returns After 20 Years, And He’s Finally Taking Flight🟩 Xbox, Multi-platform

Spyro The Dragon Returns After 20 Years, And He’s Finally Taking Flight

The first new Spyro game in over 20 years was officially revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase today. Developed by Toys for Bob, Spyro: A Realm Beyond sees the iconic purple dragon return in 2027, along with longtime Spyro voice actor Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants). With it being a long time since Spyro officially headlined his very own game, Toys for Bob has chosen to age the dragon up a little, as well as give him free rein to fly amongst the clouds, not just glide through them or be constrained to a handful of flight levels. The studio is promising "true dragon flight" in A Realm Beyond, as well as "expanded exploration" and new gameplay in a "brand-new world." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYjMh8exEIQ Spyro: A Realm Beyond is a big moment in the history of Toys for Bob, following the studio regaining its independence(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/crash-bandicoot-4-studio-toys-for-bob-goes-independent-from-microsoft/1100-6521496/) from Activision Blizzard back in February 2024. Shortly after it broke away, Toys for Bob announced later that year that it had struck a deal with Microsoft(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/spyro-developer-toys-for-bobs-next-game-will-reportedly-be-funded-by-microsoft/1100-6522117/) to develop a new game similar to what the studio had previously worked on in the past. The studio had dropped a big hint in its announcement post, as fans were told to "keep their horns on" regarding future announcements. !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Soyro-2.jpg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Spyro-3.jpg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Spyro-4.jpg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Spyro-5.jpg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Spyro-6.jpg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Spyro-1.jpg?w=1024) First introduced in 1998, Spyro's first run on consoles saw the purple dragon star in several games and spin-offs, and the IP was eventually acquired by Activision in 2008 following its merger with Vivendi. Now in the hands of Microsoft following its own acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Spyro games were later added to Xbox Game Pass(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/spyro-reignited-trilogy-touches-down-on-game-pass-tomorrow/1100-6527691/). Lying dormant for a while, Spyro would return in the Skylanders series of toys-to-life games and would make a bigger splash in 2018's Spyro Reignited Trilogy(https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/spyro-reignited-trilogy-review-fan-the-flames/1900-6417037/), remakes of the original games produced by Toys for Bob. Since then, Spyro went back into hibernation, but with Activision reviving some of its old IP like the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, it was only a matter of time before the popular purple dragon made another return.

Wo Long Is Getting A Sequel With Wings Of Ember

!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/07/42947dc1/wolong202.jpg.webp) Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is the next game in the Dark Souls-inspired Three Kingdoms action game from Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. The original Wo Long, Fallen Dynasty, released in 2023 and was a worthy entry(https://www.gameinformer.com/review/wo-long-fallen-dynasty/razor-sharp) in the canon of games inspired by From Software's work. Wars have been waged over the pursuit of the elixir of immortality, and you will apparently play a hero destined to "quell the chaos of this senseless cycle." The gameplay and visuals will look familiar to those who played the first game, but there is a new Phoenix ability whose mechanics are not yet totally clear. The game releases early 2027 on Xbox platforms., but also appears to be planned for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. !Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/07/8c14442e/wolong201.jpg.webp)

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal Looks Like BioShock With Stage Magic, Coming To Game Pass🎮 PlayStation, Xbox, Multi-platform

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal Looks Like BioShock With Stage Magic, Coming To Game Pass

A new game premiere at the Xbox Games Showcase(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-game-showcase-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-so-far/) gave us serious BioShock vibes, set against a world of Houdini-era magic. The first-person shooter swaps out chemicals for trick cards, and naturally, the devil is involved. Magicians: The Devil's Deal is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox in 2027. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8b2Jd-2y54 The trailer also included a mention that it will come to Xbox Game Pass. Magicians: The Devil's Deal is coming from Uppercut Games, a studio composed of BioShock vets, so the similarities are no coincidence. And like the BioShock games, this is very grounded in a particular historical era, but turn-of-the-century magic definitely gives it its own flavor.

Valor Mortis Is Another Great-Looking Game Launching In September

!Valor Mortis September 24 Release Date First Person Soulslike(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/07/b0858e82/valor01.jpg.webp) Valor Mortis(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/valor-mortis) is a game I've kept an eye on since its reveal last year, and after playing a demo(https://www.gameinformer.com/hands-on-preview/2025/08/19/valor-mortis-is-a-first-person-soulslike-from-the-ghostrunner-devs-and), it's one of my most anticipated upcoming games. Fortunately, you and I won't have to wait much longer to play it, as it launches on September 24 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This was revealed by way of a new narrative-focused trailer shown during today's Xbox Games Showcase, pulling back the decrepit layers on this unique first-person Soulslike from the studio behind the excellent Ghostrunner series. In it, you control William, a former soldier who rises from death and must confront the true cost of destiny, loyalty, and empire in this twisted alternate-history version of the Napoleonic Wars. Check it out in the Valor Mortis release date trailer below: "When the emperor commands, will you shrink from the opportunity or give everything for your country?" the game's description reads. "Wield supernatural powers, battle horrifying monsters, and unravel a conspiracy that threatens all of humanity forged in the shadow of Napoleon's ambition." Valor Mortis launches on September 24, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Doom: The Dark Ages Swaps The Shield For An Awesome-Looking Spear In New Revelations DLC🟩 Xbox, Multi-platform

Doom: The Dark Ages Swaps The Shield For An Awesome-Looking Spear In New Revelations DLC

During the Xbox Games Showcase at Summer Game Fest(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-game-showcase-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-so-far/), id Software revealed an expansion for Doom: The Dark Ages titled Revelations. Taking the Doom Slayer to hell and swapping out Dark Ages' distinctive shield for a spear, the DLC launches soon, on July 7 for all platforms. The spear is the star of the show here, acting as a big change to the shield that was a permanent part of your loadout in the main game. You'll be able to launch the spear at foes from a distance but also use it as a grappling hook. The footage shows the Doom Slayer using the spear for platforming and, more importantly, yanking himself towards demons before unloading several shotgun shells into them. https://youtu.be/UKkd02ZEBOU?si=4bdYvTUrCG5AU9UB Narratively, it seems the Doom Slayer is being stripped of his armor and plunged down into hell, which might be the first time he finds himself there given The Dark Ages' placement in the Doom timeline. There's some suggestions too that we'll get glimpses of the first Doom in Revelations too, but it's unclear if these are just neat callbacks, like those in the 2016 release of Doom, or more substantial story beats. Doom Eternal received numerous DLC expansions, but id Software hasn't indicated yet if Revelations will be the only one for The Dark Ages.

State Of Decay 3 Is Coming To Xbox, PC, and PS5 in 2027: Check Out Its New Gameplay Reveal

!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/07/fb42effe/stateofdecay03.jpg.webp) State of Decay, the open-world, zombie-hunting game from Undead Labs', has been quiet for a while, but today marked the game's grand return. The 2026 Xbox Games Showcase showed off our first real look at the sequel's gameplay, and revealed a 2027 release window. You can get a look at the co-op action in the new trailer below. The trailer shows scenic views of the game's rural environment before cutting to the flashy, explosive combat and co-op settlement creation. Players can drive vehicles through crowds of zombies, team up to take out grotesque nests, and hack and blast their way through undead hordes. We also got a look at plenty of unconventional zombie types, like large-bellied fire-breathers and huge, writhing nests. The game is dropping in 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and, perhaps a surprise to some, PlayStation 5. New Co-Op Game, Join Us, Is Like GTA With Cults And The Apocalypse🟩 Xbox, Multi-platform

New Co-Op Game, Join Us, Is Like GTA With Cults And The Apocalypse

Getting a new gameplay trailer and release date during the Xbox Games Showcase(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-game-showcase-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-so-far/) today, Join Us is an upcoming co-op game for up to four players, and sees you take the role of a cult leader hellbent on securing the safety of your followers. Whether you're making difficult decisions on who to sacrifice, focusing on building your base, turning tractors into killing machines, commandeering a pig mount, or growing a vast collection of military-grade weapons, there's a role for everyone in the cult. https://youtu.be/52sHCWHzYLc Join Us was originally announced back in September 2025, and has had a small handful of trailers since. It was originally slated for a release this fall, but that window has now shifted to March 2027. You can choose to play solo or with up to four friends, and as the leader, your aim to get your cult members safely through the apocalypse. Every character in the game is a potential future cult recruit, and you'll need to win them over by spreading propaganda and making your cult seem appealing to join. Followers have strengths and weaknesses, but can also be used as farmers, doctors, and other important roles. Be warned though: If they're unhappy, they'll leave, and there's no cult without any followers. Similarly, the police, other locals, and the government don't really like cults, and will try to put a stop to your hard work. You can use weapons and even a gun that shoots live snakes to bring their sabotage to a stop. Wolf Haus Games has announced that Join Us will be released in March 2027.
