Nintendo has announced a new Super Mario x Crocs collaboration featuring five different designs based on the Mushroom Kingdom. These are some of the most high-end and intricately designed Crocs we've seen, featuring a range of special touches. In particular, the Mario Classic Clog features a plush red cap and a yellow accent on the heel cup based on Mario's overalls. The Bowser Classic Clog, meanwhile, features the character's iconic green color, along with PVC spikes on the toes and backstrap. The Princess Peach shoes offer the "royal treatment," featuring her crown and glitter and a platform fit. The Super Mario shoe features a blue colorway with a graphic print on it featuring Mario classics like golf coins, Super Stars, and Green Shells. The Yoshi Croc is, well, green, and has his orange fins running down the middle. !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.53.43-PM.png?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.53.57-PM.png?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.54.07-PM.png?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.54.17-PM.png?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.54.27-PM.png?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Screenshot-2026-06-02-at-3.54.37-PM.png?w=1024) In addition to the shoes themselves, the collaboration includes lots of different Jibbitz charms that people can choose from, including charms based on Mario, Yoshi, Peach, Luigi, and Toad, along with charms for things like a Question Block. In Game Informer's Crimson Desert review(https://www.gameinformer.com/review/crimson-desert/open-world-overload), we said the game lacked narrative depth, and according to the latest roadmap for the open-world action game, the studio is working to fix that. Plus, Pearl Abyss promises new combat-focused content, cross-save functionality, and more between now and September. "We plan to roll these updates out gradually from June through September, and we're preparing them to be enjoyable both for those who have spent many hours in Pywel and for those who are just beginning their journey," the roadmap(https://crimsondesert.pearlabyss.com/en-US/News/Notice/Detail?boardNo=95) reads. "Your feedback will continue to be an important reference throughout development, so please continue to share it with us." Pearl Abyss says the listed updates in today's roadmap are not where the team's support for Crimson Desert ends, noting, "We are also hard at work on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, and while we cannot share the details just yet, we are preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey." Here's the list of planned updates for Crimson Desert, according to Pearl Abyss' latest roadmap: !Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/03/10/05ba8ace/crimsondesertdeer.jpg.webp) - Story Improvements: Pearl Abyss says it is carefully reviewing story-related feedback from players and, to strengthen the narrative flow of Kliff's journey and make it more engaging, is working to refine and improve the coherence of key scenes. - New Combat Content: New combat-focused content will be added to Crimson Desert, according to Pearl Abyss, "allowing players to prove their true strength as a Greyman." - Cross-Save: The studio says it is actively working on a cross-save feature to allow players to continue their journey in Pywel across different platforms. "By linking your account, you will be able to share save files across platforms and continue your journey on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox," the roadmap reads. - Re-Blockade Update: Pearl Abyss writes in the roadmap that a new phase for Re-Blockade is being developed to "make the flow before and after a blockade more natural, along with ways to defend certain strongholds from the threat of invasion." It also says the rewards will be improved to make liberating strongholds feel more rewarding. - Damiane and Oongka Gameplay Improvements:Pearl Abyss is working on improving the overall gameplay experience for Damiane and Oongka experiences in Crimson Desert, noting that "various adjustments will be made so that all three playable characters can get a share of the spotlight." - Quality of Life Improvements for Non-Combat Content: The roadmap reads, "We will continue making improvements to non-combat content, such as trading and farming, to address areas that players have found inconvenient." To close out the roadmap, Pearl Abyss says the planned features above are currently in development and that details may change as updates are released. All of the updates listed above are expected to hit Crimson Desert between now and September. 🎮 Multi-platformTomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis Gets Out Of The Way Of GTA 6 With Delay To 2027
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is not going to make it out on time. The remake of the original Tomb Raider game was originally scheduled to launch in 2026 but has now been delayed to February 12, 2027. Sony announced the delay during the State of Play broadcast on June 2. A new trailer was released as well--check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wEjbSYNUM8 If this sounds familiar, it's because another high-profile game, the Fable reboot, was also recently delayed from 2026 to February 2027(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/fable-has-been-delayed-to-february-2027/). Legacy of Atlantis will be one of two big Tomb Raider games coming in 2027 if current schedules hold, as a brand-new game, Tomb Raider Catalyst, is also slated for release in 2027. In shifting to 2027, Legacy of Atlantis will now release after Rockstar's GTA 6 in November 2026. Legacy of Atlantis is developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, both of which are owned by Embracer, which also owns the Tomb Raider franchise. The remake is described as a "true reimagining of the original game." "We've thoughtfully refreshed the experience in exciting ways. Also built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, it features a gorgeous re-envisioning of iconic environments, immersive sound design, modern gameplay mechanics, and new surprises all while honoring the spirit of the classic," reads a line from the game's description.
Mina The Hollower Sold 300,000 Copies In Three Days, Helping Yacht Club Escape 'Make Or Break' Moment But It Could Be Doing Better
!Mina the Hollower(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2023/09/04/5e557952/mina1.jpg.webp) Mina the Hollower(https://www.gameinformer.com/product/mina-the-hollower), the 8-bit action-platformer from Shovel Knight(https://gameinformer.com/games/shovelknight/b/3ds/archive/2014/06/26/game-informer-review-shovel-knight-3ds-pc-wii-u.aspx) developer Yacht Club Games that launched last week on May 29(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/05/06/mina-the-hollower-finally-launches-later-this-month), sold 300,000 copies in its first three days. In the lead-up to the game's launch, Yacht Club told Bloomberg Businessweek(https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-12-02/creator-of-hit-game-shovel-knight-is-at-make-or-break-moment)that Mina the Hollower was a "make or break" moment for the studio, explaining that the studio had to pause a planned second project and burn through a lot of its cash reserves as a result of taking six years to develop the game, and with 300,000 copies sold, it sounds like the studio is in the clear. Yacht Club co-founder and Mina the Hollower director Sean Velasco told Bloomberg(https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-06-02/indie-video-game-mina-the-hollower-sells-300-000-copies-in-three-days?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc4MDQyMDg2NCwiZXhwIjoxNzgxMDI1NjY0LCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJURzBMSTFLR0lGUUcwMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiJCMUVBQkI5NjQ2QUM0REZFQTJBRkI4MjI1MzgyQTJFQSJ9.9MQpXcGF13EZy2eiCzehz3To7pNq-brystEEGWY65EQ&leadSource=uverify%20wall) that "he's thrilled with the critical reception for the new title," adding that the "strong sales mean that Yacht Club can keep operating without making cuts or taking outside investment, at least for now," according to the publication. Bloomberg writes that the 15-person studio owned by its co-founders is relying directly on revenue from Mina the Hollower to continue operating, but despite selling 300,000 copies in three days, Velasco hopes to sell more. "I wonder how come the best-reviewed game of 2026 Editor's Note: Mina the Hollower is currently the highest-rated game of 2026 on Metacritic is not the fastest-selling game, so I feel a big fire lit to close that gap," Velasco told Bloomberg. At the very least, it's great news to hear that Mina the Hollower is performing well critically and well enough fiscally that Yacht Club is free from the "make or break" feeling present prior to the platformer's launch. For more, read Game Informer's Mina the Hollower review(https://www.gameinformer.com/review/mina-the-hollower/refined-throwback) to find out why it's a great and refined throwback. Brutal First-Person Horror Game ILL Still Looks Terrifying In New Story Trailer
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/02/84ac5913/illscreen2026.jpg.webp) Team Clout once again revealed its first-person horror game Ill during today's State of Play. The facility is filled with horrors ranging from infant-like creatures to hallway-filling monstrosities. Today's trailer is definitely not for the faint of heart, but feel free to give yourself some nightmare fuel by giving it a watch. Mina The Hollower(https://www.gamespot.com/games/mina-the-hollower/) sold 300,000 copies in its first three days, developer Yacht Club Games has announced, far faster than the studio's previous game, Shovel Knight. The sales figure comes from Bloomberg(https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-06-02/indie-video-game-mina-the-hollower-sells-300-000-copies-in-three-days?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc4MDQyMDg2NCwiZXhwIjoxNzgxMDI1NjY0LCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJURzBMSTFLR0lGUUcwMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiJCMUVBQkI5NjQ2QUM0REZFQTJBRkI4MjI1MzgyQTJFQSJ9.9MQpXcGF13EZy2eiCzehz3To7pNq-brystEEGWY65EQ&leadSource=uverify%20wall), who spoke with Yacht Club Games co-founder Sean Velasco. He said the strong sales so far mean the studio can continue operating as normal without making cuts or seeking outside investment. Yacht Club underwent layoffs and put a second project, a 3D Shovel Knight game, on hold over the course of Mina's development. Velasco previously said Mina was a "make or break" moment(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/shovel-knight-devs-next-game-is-make-or-break-needs-to-sell-200000-copies/1100-6536639/) for Yacht Club after working on the game for six years, and that if it sold 200,000 copies, "that would be really, really great." Mina is selling far faster than Shovel Knight, which took around a week to sell 75,000 copies, according to Bloomberg. The stronger start is likely due in part to rave reviews, with Mina the Hollower currently tied with Forza Horizon 6 as the best-reviewed game of 2026 so far according to Metacritic. In GameSpot's Mina the Hollower review(https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/mina-the-hollower-surpasses-the-greatness-of-shovel-knight/), writer Steve Watts gave Yacht Club's latest a 9/10, calling it a "masterpiece." Despite the strong start, Velasco said he is hoping Mina reaches even higher sales heights. He previously told Bloomberg if the game doesn't sell a million copies he'd be "disappointed," and has now said he wonders how the best-reviewed game of 2026 isn't the fastest-selling game and cited a need to "close that gap." Mina the Hollower was originally slated to release in October 2025, until it was delayed indefinitely at the last minute, a delay that ended up being over six months. In an interview with GameSpot, Yacht Club's David D'Angelo said the delay was to address the worst rooms(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/mina-the-hollowers-11th-hour-delay-was-to-eliminate-the-worst-room-in-the-game/) in the Zelda-inspired adventure that needed more polish. It was also to make sure the game was balanced regardless of which route or items players were bringing to the game's various encounters. "It was a lot of permutations of just ways to play the game that we were just going through over and over and over and trying to make sure no matter how you played the game, hopefully you'd have a good time," D'Angelo said. Lego Is Releasing 12 More Pokémon Sets This August, But There's One Catch
!Pokémon Lego Sets August 2026 Mewtwo Charizard Gengar Smart Play (https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/02/f62247b0/mewtwoheader.jpg.webp) The Lego Group and The Pokémon Company International have revealed 12 more Lego Pokémon set(https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/pokemon)s and they're all being released this August. Preorders are now live for the sets, which range from lower price tags like $19.99 upwards to $119.99, and if you preorder/purchase more than $130 worth in one go, you'll receive a free Ditto Squirtle set. All of these sets will be released on August 1, and while a lot of them look really cool, there is one potentially disappointing catch: every single set is a Smart Play all-in-one or compatible service. Now, Lego's Smart Play features are pretty cool, allowing certain Lego figures to interact with others, light up, and make sounds, but if you're someone who builds your set and places it on a shelf to look at (and not play with), you're paying a premium for the baked-in Smart Play compatibility that you won't be using. And considering these Lego Pokémon sets already come with a premium price tag, with the biggest released earlier this year for a whopping $649.99(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/01/12/the-first-ever-pokemon-lego-sets-have-been-revealed-and-they-look-amazing), it might be a disappointment that these are likely pricier because of Smart Play. Nonetheless, the sets vary in size and total number of pieces, and together you could create some pretty neat dioramas. Take a look at each set in the image gallery below: Here's a quick look at what to expect with each set: - Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle: $119.99 with 751 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-charizard-vs-jolteon-ultimate-battle-72167) - Charmander and Geodude's Cavern Clash: $19.99 with 198 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-charmander-and-geodudes-cavern-clash-72157) - Umbreon vs. Garchomp Championship Battle: $79.99 with 831 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-umbreon-vs-garchomp-championship-battle-72165) - Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly Battle: $34.99 with 313 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-sprigatito-fuecoco-and-quaxly-battle-72158) - Trainer's Buggy Adventure with Squirtle: $29.99 with 320 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-trainers-buggy-adventure-with-squirtle-72156) - Berry Bash with Bulbasaur and Bidoof: $19.99 with 240 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-berry-bash-with-bulbasaur-and-bidoof-72155) - Jigglypuff Concert: $14.99 with 88 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-jigglypuff-concert-72159) - Eevee and Lapras's Treasure Hunt: $59.99 with 623 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-eevee-and-laprass-treasure-hunt-72162) - Drone Search for Mythical Mew: $49.99 with 429 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-drone-search-for-mythical-mew-72161) - Training House with Pikachu: $69.99 with 400 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-training-house-with-pikachu-72164) - Cubone and Gengar's Spooky Showdown: $89.99 with 782 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-cubone-and-gengars-spooky-showdown-72166) - Mewtwo's Lab Break: $69.99 with 605 pieces(https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/smart-play-mewtwos-lab-break-72163) And here's a look at the Ditto Squirtle set you'll receive if you buy $130 worth of Lego from this new Pokémon drop: !Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/02/ff74c5a1/dittosquirtle.jpg.webp) All 12 sets are available for preorder now, and each will be released on August 1.
