📱 MobileClone Drone in the Danger Zone is a voxel-based hack 'n slash coming to mobile
One of the rare pleasures that we enjoy on mobile is that of seeing the many hit indies that grace it. And increasingly, even indie developers on PC are recognising the potential of mobile! Case in point being the announcement that Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, from developer Doborog, is coming to mobile! If you haven't heard of it before, Clone Drone is a voxel-based hack 'n slash that sees you transposed into the body of a robotic gladiator. Forced to fight in a sinister arena, you'll have to hack 'n slash your way through hordes of enemies and battle towering bosses with a variety of weapons. ... Sitting in the realm of bona fide childhood classics, many fans still hold Avatar: The Last Airbender as the gold standard for kids' animation. And many fans still follow it to this day, as the enduring popularity of Avatar Legends: Realms Collide is testament to. Now you can get into the summer spirit with the launch of their Unity Day 2026 event. Running until July 4th, the main feature of the Unity Day event is the new event board. 📱 MobilePuzzle & Dragons teams up with classic comedy anime, Gintama
Puzzle & Dragons is no stranger to anime crossovers, with its mixture of classic puzzle gameplay and wider RPG-style mechanics making it a natural fit for the genre. Even so, the folks at GungHo accompany their larger-scale team-ups with some surprising deep cuts, such as the start of today's collab featuring Gintama! Gintama will be familiar to many anime fans of the mid-to-late 2000s. A comedy/action anime focusing on the exploits of retired samurai Gintoki and his comrades Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura in an alternate Japan conquered by alien forces, it's wacky and outlandish as only anime can be. But it's definitely not short on exciting rewards and content! ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/puzzle-dragons/gintama-collab-2026/)

But more than that, they've also released their latest PV to celebrate and even more exciting news! 📱 MobileAfterglow, the MMORPG that claims to respect your time, is now in open beta for iOS and Android
Back when we first wrote about Afterglow, its premise immediately intrigued me. Oh, not the 1980s-themed post-apocalyptic world. I'm all for that. It's cool, even if it's hardly ground-breaking set dressing. But no, it was the promise of being a deep MMORPG with all the social trimmings while respecting those with busy lives. Now, we can find out if it delivers on that front since it's available in open beta on iOS (you'll need TestFlight) and Android. For me, I never had time for MMOs, even before I became busy. Grinding for hours and hours for a crumb of progression has never truly appealed to me. However, here, the idle elements mean I should be able to poke my head around the door, push a few buttons, bark an order or two, then go about my day knowing that progress is happening in the background. ... 🖥 PC, MobileTMNT: Shredder's Revenge is free on the Epic Games Store this week
There's always been a part of me that prefers villains in media. In Doctor Who, I'm a big fan of the Daleks, Darth Vader is infinitely cooler than Luke Skywalker, and the Joker is far more compelling than the overly stoic Batman. So when I first came across TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, I found myself thinking, “Ah, I hope it gets it.” And while there's practically no chance of me getting what I want there, I can at least find out for free thanks to the Epic Game Store. That's right, as part of Epic's ongoing program, you can grab the brawler for free until July 2nd. And while I agree it’s a little uncouth to quibble over the quality of something when the price is zero, it's certainly a better offering than last week's Construction Simulator 3. Not only did that confirm I have no business being within 100 yards of a building site, but it just wasn't that fun. ... 📱 MobileTwin Shot Deluxe brings a Flash classic from Nitrome back to mobile, out now on iOS and Android
As I've said before and will say again, mobile owes a lot to the legacy of Flash. So many great, bite-sized games really set the template for genres we take for granted today, especially on mobile. And the latest classic to make a return is none other than Nitrome's Twin Shot Deluxe, now available to buy on iOS and Android! Twin Shot Deluxe puts you in the shoes of cat-like angels armed with bows and arrows. Managing the bow's drop-off, you'll make use of power-ups, environmental puzzles and even the arrows as platforms to navigate around each level. And with 200+ of them to explore, you'll have your work cut out for you in defeating the forces of evil. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/twin-shot-deluxe/out-now/)
📱 MobileMy Hero Academia United Survival opens pre-registration for a new spin on the Survivors-like
While it may have wrapped up its anime and manga runs, for shonen fans, My Hero Academia will still hold a special place in their heart. And just because its original run may have finished doesn't mean it's any less popular, with the latest mobile adaptation arriving soon in the form of My Hero Academia: United Survival. Having just opened pre-registration, My Hero Academia: United Survival is exactly as you might expect, a Vampire Survivors-style spin on the superhero-centric world of MHA. You'll make use of your character's Quirks (superpowers) as special abilities and collect a team of up to three iconic characters from the series to fight alongside you. ... 📱 MobileSilver Palace is hosting another beta test called Dichotomy, with signs-ups now open
I'm not sure exactly when the trend started, but we've reached a point where referring to a beta test as such is no longer in vogue. Take Silver Palace, for example. The latest pre-release play test is called Dichotomy, with sign-ups available now until July 16th. Perhaps it's simply to give it more gravitas because, to be fair, it is a very cool word. As for what the definitely-not-a-beta-test contains, it introduces the male protagonist, letting us get to know him a little better. Alongside that, you can expect a whole new cast of characters and a more fleshed-out storyline. That will include additional areas in Silvernia to check out with more activities to sink your teeth into. It promises improved performance for anyone who's dipped their toe in before, too. Specifically, the developers have tweaked the combat slightly in a bid to make it more enjoyable. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/silver-palace/dichotomy-beta-test-sign-ups/)
📱 MobilePokémon Go celebrates its anniversary with even more Pikachu costumes
Niantic has been running Pikachu events for almost a decade now and somehow hasn't run out of costumes. The Special Anniversary Pikachu Celebration kicks off in July, and there are a lot of Pikachus. A lot. The event runs from July 13th to July 20th, split into three overlapping celebrations that rotate through different costumed variants. Each one swaps a few things around, so it's worth checking which celebration is active before heading out for the day. Wild encounters include Pikachu wearing a Tricks & Treats costume, a Winter Carnival outfit, and one described as having summer flair. That last description is doing some work, but fine. ... 📱 MobileDunk City Dynasty's Season 8 is here for anyone already footballed out
Not everyone is watching the World Cup. Some people just want to play basketball in the street with superpowers, which is a completely valid position to take. Season 8 of Dunk City Dynasty has launched, and NetEase has brought in two new NBA names to mark the occasion. Tyrese Haliburton arrives from the Indiana Pacers, built around moving the ball and opening up space for the rest of the team. ... MORE(https://www.pocketgamer.com/dunk-city-dynasty/season-8/)
