!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/05/4acd8757/1666-amsterdam-2.jpg.webp) Patrice Désilets and Panache Studios have revealed their second game, 1666: Amsterdam. This new action game lets players control a witch in the titular city on a hunt for demonic creatures disguised as humans. Players control Noa Brooklyn, who is living in Amsterdam, which is inhabited by entities called The Originals. These long-living creatures have accumulated and abused their power, but it's up to Noa to take that power back due to her role as a hunter of sorts called a Collector. To do that, Noa uses magic to expose and destroy the demonic Originals in an open-world Amsterdam. The Originals resemble normal humans, so it takes a keen eye and plenty of magical tricks to locate them. Noa will have help from 300 years in the future in the form of Aaron, a person hailing from 1999 who is transported back in time and occupies the body of a black cat. And yes, it looks like you can control Aaron in his feline form. 1666: Amsterdam is Panache's first title since its debut, 2019's Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey(https://gameinformer.com/review/ancestors-the-humankind-odyssey/ancestors-the-humankind-odyssey-review-beautiful-concepts). Désilets took the Summer Game Fest stage to reveal that the game is launching into Early Access later this year, and that players can download a free playable prologue today on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/3949550/1666Amsterdam/) and the Epic Games Store.

More specifically, it will launch on August 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, narrowly avoiding the September onslaught of games, which includes Game Informercover story game The Blood of Dawnwalker(https://gameinformer.com/href), Marvel's Wolverine(https://gameinformer.com/href), Control:(https://gameinformer.com/href) Resonant(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/06/02/new-control-resonant-trailer-shows-glimpse-of-jesse-faden-and-a-september-release-date), and more. This release date was revealed in a new gameplay trailer that aired during the Summer Game Fest(https://www.gameinformer.com/2026/05/19/the-2026-summer-showcase-schedule) livestream today, giving us our best (and first real) look at the latest Star Wars game yet. It also gave us our first look at Anakin Skywalker in the game. Considering Bit Reactor, which is a studio formed by industry veterans who worked on XCOM and more, is one of the primary developers behind it, it's no surprise that it looks like an exciting tactics adventure in the beloved science-fantasy universe. Check it out for yourself below in the Star Wars Zero Company release date trailer: In Star Wars Zero Company, players control Hawks, a former Republic officer, who commands a ragtag group of mercenaries and bounty hunters from across the Clone Wars-era galaxy to combat a dangerous new threat. Hawks' class and appearance are fully customizable, and the teammates you recruit will come in the form of classic Star Wars characters, including Clone Troopers, astromechs, Jedi, and more. And yes, the teammates can be customized, too. Player choice will shape both the narrative and gameplay, as you increase bonds between squadmates to unlock new abilities and powerful synergies. Outside of combat, you can build a base and send out intelligence informants to learn your enemy's plans and more. Again, Star Wars Zero Company hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 27, 2026. Guild Wars 3 Announced For PC And PS5 With A Beta Coming Next Year
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/05/0faa3563/guildwars302.jpg.webp) Guild Wars 2 came out nearly 14 years ago, and after a decade and a half of support and expansions, the team is pushing out a proper sequel. Guild Wars 3 was announced at Summer Game Fest this evening, and developer ArenaNet is calling it the modern evolution of the MMORPG. Check out the reveal trailer below: "Explore Tyria like never before in Guild Wars 3, an action-adventure MMORPG and modern evolution of the genre," the trailer's description reads. "Play solo or form a band of adventurers, forging impactful and enduring bonds with fellow players, a formative cast of memorable NPCs, and the nature spirits that call Orr home." While the teaser doesn't show us any concrete gameplay, it does show off a stunning, vibrant art style, which we hope will translate over to the full release. The announcement also came with the news that the game will be coming to both PC and PS5, which is a significant move for a series that has typically avoided console releases. You'll be able to get your hands on the game in Fall 2027, when the beta begins. For more information, the trailer points viewers towards guildwars3.com(https://guildwars3.com). It's also available to be wishlisted on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/4743930/GuildWars3/). 🎮 PlayStation, Multi-platformGuild Wars 3 Is Real, And It’s Coming To PS5 And PC
After a domain for Guild Wars 3 was updated, fans began to believe an announcement for the anticipated MMO sequel was imminent. The game was officially announced as part of Summer Game Fest 2026(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/summer-game-fest-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/). A beta is set to launch in Fall 2027. Guild Wars 3 will release on both PC and PlayStation 5, making it the first game in the series to be playable on console. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITPzxITngqA Technically, the Guild Wars 3 domain was purchased way back in 2004, before the original game was released (thanks GamesRadar(https://www.gamesradar.com/games/mmo/guild-wars-3-summer-game-fest-rumors-start-flying-thanks-to-a-sudden-web-domain-update-we-waited-10-000-years/)). However, eagle-eyed fans spotted that domain got an update on June 5, 2026, just one day before Summer Game Fest started. The trailer specifies that the footage is in-engine, though no specific UI or gameplay elements are shown. In it, an armor-clad character rides a massive, multi-colored, and horned mount. The same character bounds up a steep stone wall with magical boots and witnesses a flying axolotl-like creature. Some other examples of player-characters are briefly seen, including a bear wearing plate armor, a little goblinesque creature (probably an Asura), and a humanoid woman. Both the original game and its sequel have had a long run. Since its initial release in 2012, Guild Wars 2 has gotten continual updates, including an expansion titled Visions of Eternity in October 2025. Gear Wars Reforged, a remaster of the first MMO, launched in December 2025.
🎮 Multi-platformEx-CoD Dev’s New Game Stars The Boys Actor Claudia Doumit, And It’s Another Attempt To Make Crossfire Work In The West
As part of Summer Game Fest(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/summer-game-fest-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/) today, developer That's No Moon--a studio founded by former Call of Duty and Naughty Dog developers--announced its first game, and it's not what anyone expected. The game is called Crossfire, and it's the latest attempt from Korean publisher Smilegate--which funded That's No Moon--to make Crossfire popular in the West. That's No Moon recruited a big name, The Boys and Call of Duty actor Claudia Doumit--to star in the military shooter. The developers at That's No Moon understand that Crossfire is going to be divisive, and they are OK with that(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/thats-no-moon-knows-crossfire-is-going-to-be-divisive-and-its-ok-with-that/). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCqw26hm0ko T Crossfire launched back in 2007, and has been very popular in South Korea. In fact, it was the most popular FPS on the planet for a period of time(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-biggest-fps-in-the-world-is-becoming-a-movie/1100-6473693/). A Crossfire game for the West, CrossfireX, was released in 2022, but shut down a year later(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/crossfirex-is-going-offline-for-good-in-may/1100-6511161/). Alan Wake developer Remedy built the game's single-player. The new Crossfire game, which is simply titled Crossfire, is in the works now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game does not have a release date yet. That's No Moon was founded in part by Taylor Kurosaki, who previously worked on the Call of Duty and the Uncharted franchises.
Gundam Rogue Orbit Is A Third-Person Mech Action Game And It Launches Next Year
!Gundam Rogue Orbit Bandai Namco Entertainment(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/05/100b6be8/gundam04.jpg.webp) Bandai Namco has revealed Gundam Rogue Orbit, a third-person mecha action game, and it's launching next year. 🎮 Multi-platformTMNT: The Last Ronin Is Developed By Action-Game Royalty
At Summer Games Fest(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/summer-game-fest-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/), the newly announced Paramount Games Studio has revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin--previously in the works at THQ Nordic's Black Forest Games--is now in development at Platinum Games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRnIOj126E This isn't the first TMNT game from Platinum, though we're hoping that it will be better than the studio's previous attempt. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan was met with largely negative reviews in 2016, in stark contrast to the studio's usually excellent action games. Unlike some of the more family-friendly takes on the TMNT, The Last Ronin takes place in a dark future where the Foot Clan reigns and three out of the four turtles are dead. That leaves the remaining brother to take up the arms of his fallen siblings for one last battle against Shredder's grandson. The Last Ronin was originally published in 2020 and it marked the creative reunion of TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, who collaborated on the story for the first time in decades. The miniseries was scripted by Eastman and Tom Waltz and illustrated by Esau Escorza, Isaac Escorza, Ben Bishop, and Eastman. It proved to be so popular that additional Last Ronin comics have been published and a novelization was released earlier this month. In 2023, The Last Ronin's video game was announced(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-the-last-ronin-becoming-a-game-inspired-by-god-of-war/1100-6512649/) and described as a God of War-inspired single-player game. The Last Ronin was also in development as a live-action film before Paramount canceled the project(https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-new-live-action-movie-1236431867/) in late 2025.

Chronologically, Control Resonant is a sequel to 2019's Control. But in most other ways, the games aren't directly connected. To developer Remedy, they're more like two sides of the same coin. 🎮 Multi-platformStranger Than Heaven Gets Even Stranger With The Addition Of A Very Alive Tupac
A celebrity-filled cast grows even more. Stranger than Heaven, the new game from Sega's RGG Studios, already has a star-studded cast with big names from both the Eastern and Western music and acting scenes. One of the latest cast additions, however, is definitely a head-turner: the likeness of beloved rapper Tupac Shakur. Tupac was a beloved musician before his murder in 1996, and his popularity has only grown since. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVDWsyaf2Y Snoop Dogg, who also plays a major role in the game, commented on Tupac's addition during the Summer Game Fest(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/summer-game-fest-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/) presentation, saying "The Tupac estate, my son and myself ... we work very closely together, so it just made sense to put him in this game. His likeness, his spirit still lives on." Tupac isn't the only departed cast member taking a role in Stranger than Heaven, as the likeness of beloved Japanese actor Bunta Sugawara (of Battles Without Honor or Humanity fame) is also appearing in-game. In addition, several famous Japanese actors and voice actors were newly announced to be appearing in the game in various roles: Takashi Ukaji, Takaya Kuroda, Kohei Tsuji, and Yasukaze Motomiya. A release date of January 15, 2027 was also confirmed.
