Sega Confirms And Responds To Generative AI Content In New Crazy Taxi Game
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/07/01814929/crazytaxi.jpg.webp) Crazy Taxi: World Tour was just announced at the Xbox Games Showcase(https://www.gameinformer.com/xbox-games-showcase/2026/06/07/crazy-taxi-and-the-offspring-are-back-in-world-tour-launching-next) and players were quick to notice that the game's Steam page(https://store.steampowered.com/app/2924540/CrazyTaxiWorldTour/) contained a generative AI disclaimer which reads, "At SEGA Corporation, we utilize generative AI as a support tool for developers, aiming to provide better content to our users and enable developers to focus more on creative tasks We have used such generative AI support tools during development of Crazy Taxi: World Tour. No AI was used in reference to the performers in the game." We reached out to Sega for confirmation and a potential response to the details on the Steam page. Many fans excited for the return of Sega's racing game have already expressed frustration(https://bsky.app/profile/gameovergreggy.bsky.social/post/3mnpulk7whk2f) over the use of generative AI assets. Below is Sega's response, which repeats some of the details on the Steam page: At SEGA Corporation, generative AI is available as an optional support tool for developers, enabling our teams to focus more on creative tasks and ultimately focus on what matters most: delivering better games to our consumers. Generative AI was used to support our teams during the development of background assets for ”Crazy Taxi: World Tour”. Assets generated were still subject to review by the development team. No AI was used in reference to the performers in the game. 🖥 PC, Multi-platformCrazy Taxi: World Tour Uses Generative AI, Sega Reveals
Sega has disclosed that Crazy Taxi: World Tour is using AI-generated content, according to the game's Steam page(https://store.steampowered.com/app/2924540/CrazyTaxiWorldTour/). The corporation states, "We use generative AI as a support tool for developers, aiming to provide better content to our users and enable developers to focus more on creative tasks." It goes on to clarify that AI has not been used in reference to the performers in the game. It is the first major game from Sega's upcoming slate confirmed to be using generative AI, since executives stated that it would "leverage" the technology where appropriate(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sega-says-it-will-leverage-ai-in-game-development-when-appropriate/1100-6536698/), during a Q&A session after the company’s Q2 financial results presentation. The first game from Sega confirmed to use generative AI was free-to-play title Sega Football Club Champions released earlier this year, which currently sits with "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam. Sega is far from the only company to declare its use of generative AI, which remains a controversial subject in the industry. Other Japanese studios, like Square Enix and Capcom, are enthusiastically embracing the technology. Capcom did however previously state that it would not use any AI-generated art, following the backlash to Nvidia’s new AI-powered DLSS 5 rendering of Grace from Resident Evil Requiem.
🖥 PC, Multi-platformVampire Survivors Studio Is Expanding In A Big Way, Starting With An “Evil Twin” DLC
Vampire Survivors(https://www.gamespot.com/games/vampire-survivors/) developer Poncle Games had some big news to share at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, starting with the announcement of a new chapter for its hit game. Called Legacy of the Bloodmoon, this new expansion will be released later in the Summer season, and Poncle has described it as an "evil twin" to the previously released Legacy of the Moonspell add-on. The new DLC adds 10 new characters, 16 new weapons and evolutions, a new extra-large stage, and more music tracks. Legacy of the Moonspell will also be expanded with new content and will be available at a reduced price, and an upcoming patch adds a new stage, characters, weapons, and Darkanas. Rolling out to PC via Steam first, it'll go live for other platforms at a later date, Poncle says. The other big news was the formation of Survivaton, a new label at Poncle dedicated to its Survivors-like projects, and a Japan branch of the studio. Short for "survive a ton," the label focuses on internal projects built on the foundation of Vampire Survivors, including collaborations like Warhammer 40,000: Survivors. "Each project will aim to introduce major gameplay changes, content expansions, or genre twists exploring ideas substantial enough to stand as their own games," Poncle said. Lastly, Poncle Japan will oversee local development initiatives and strategic partnerships across the region, serving as a bridge between Poncle's global operations and Japanese players, creators, and industry partners under the guidance of studio head Sawaki Takeyasu. Since its launch a few years ago, Vampire Survivors has become a massive success story in games. The early-access PC release became a huge hit thanks to its easy-to-learn gameplay and deep systems, growing with new expansions, and even crossing over with popular Konami IP like Contra and Castlevania(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/castlevania-as-a-vampire-survivors-metroidvania-would-make-so-much-sense-poncle-says/1100-6536381/). Earlier this year, Poncle released Vampire Crawlers(https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/vampire-crawlers-review-pixel-perfect-pandemonium/1900-6418483/), a survivor-like spin on roguelike deckbuilders that was also well received by players and critics.

🖥 Xbox, PC, Multi-platform33-Player Co-Op Raider, 33 Immortals, Will Finally Release In Full Soon
33 Immortals has been available via early access for some time, but if you've been itching to experience the full game, you needn't wait much longer. Announced as part of Summer Game Fest and Day of the Devs, 33 Immortals' 1.0 release arrives on June 10. That date applies to both the PC versions--across both Steam and Epic Games Store--as well as the Xbox Series X|S version. It existed on Xbox previous as part of the Xbox Game Preview program, with functions similarly to Steam Early Access. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOH4jKB4SQg "After over a year of community feedback and optimization during early access, 33 Immortals 1.0 introduces the complete 33 Immortals experience, including all three fully playable worlds, the long-awaited final-boss encounter, and a variety of new content and improvements throughout the game," Thunder Lotus said in the official announcement. 33 Immortals is a very different game from Thunder Lotus' previous release, Spiritfarer, which was decidedly less violent. In 33 Immortals, you and 32 others battle dangerous bosses, essentially distilling the MMO-raid experience down to just the best moments.
🖥 PC, Multi-platformWhat The Hell Do You Name The Follow-Up To N++?
N++ is an absolutely stellar game. I even like the unconventional name and appreciate developer Metanet Software's continued embrace of the N name first used for its original Flash creation more than two decades ago. But it's also a name that comes with some issues, perhaps best demonstrated by the game's name on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/230270/NNPLUSPLUS/) being followed by "(NPLUSPLUS)." So what do you do when you're making a multiplayer follow-up(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/how-do-you-follow-the-perfect-platformer-n-devs-think-they-have-the-answer/) and need to come up with a name? "It's always been hard for us to name these things," Metanet's Raigan Burns said when asked about the name of the newly announced N+ Infinity Times Two. "We think N was absolutely the perfect name for the original game, but unfortunately, we had a serious search-engine problem, to the point where if you go into Steam or Xbox or PlayStation and type N++, it's really hard to find our game." It's a problem that a developer like Remedy has also no doubt dealt with; using a single, common word like "Control" is going to make your game a nightmare to search for. (I can also personally attest, as someone involved with providing feedback on the search functionality on the recently relaunched GameSpot website: Search is hard!) Metanet was aware of the potential issues with the name for N+ going into its release, yet it was only once the game became publicly available that the extent of the problem became clear. "It was upsetting because it was a thing we were aware of," Burns said. "When you're making a PlayStation game, there's a parallel, private version of the store. And so in that version of the store, we were the first search result when you search N++. So everything was fine until launch day. And then, on launch day, we discovered, oh, the public version of the store, for some reason, search works differently, and we're like on the fifth page of results. Anyways, you know, live and learn. It's just, I mean, this entire series is a process of learning from our mistakes. It's like the development of the game parallels the way the game actually plays." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Jhy9HNs-u0 Having had that experience, Metanet had a lot to consider with the name for what would ultimately become N+ Infinity Times Two. "Part of it was just like, what do we want to call this one? We went through N to the power of N, and like every symbol over the years, we've tried it. We've tried thinking of it." Setting aside the complexity of trying to search for NN, other ideas were considered, including a hilarious alternative for a game focused on multiplayer. "At one point, this game was called M for multiplayer," Burns said. "We even toyed with the idea of abandoning N as a moniker and just calling it something like The Ninjas. Because as much as we have this awesome fan base, statistically, 99% of people haven't played an N game in their lives, and we definitely designed this one to be the Super Mario World, where it caters to the fans of the series, but it also serves as a great jumping-off point for anyone who's never played one of these games before. So we were thinking if we call it N Something, we're going to have a Godfather 3-type problem where we don't want to give people the impression that you need to have previous experience with the series. ... N++ was for our hardcore fans. It was absolutely, 100% a love letter to the people who have been playing for a decade." !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-13-Large.jpeg?w=1024) A race to the finish in N+ Infinity Times Two !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-8-Large-1.jpeg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-9-Large-1.jpeg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-10-Large-1.jpeg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-11-Large.jpeg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-12-Large.jpeg?w=1024) !(https://www.gamespot.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Image-Large.jpeg?w=1024) One of Metanet's desires for the name was thus to convey Infinity Times Two can appeal to a wider audience. "It's not like I'm stuck for six hours on the same level trying to beat it. It's multiplayer. So it's like every couple minutes, the level's over, there's a winner, and then you're on to the next level. So it's a totally different kind of vibe. We exhausted every possibility. We didn't have a name we liked." In came producer Nick Suttner, who suggested something like N Infinity. That was initially deemed to be "kind of boring," although it served as the springboard to the eventual name. "I think Mare Sheppard, N co-creator had the idea of, okay, N++ was serious. We're silly people, and it had some silliness, but it was a bit serious. This one, we're really trying to embrace the fun in this and our silly personalities. So why not lean into the absurdity of--the whole series at this point is a bit surreally comical. So, N+ Infinity Times Two, we think, has just the right amount of playful, tongue-in-cheek, kind of self-deprecating humor that we like, while also communicating it's a different proposition than other sets of things. It's a bit unique, it's quirky, it's weird." But just what does that "Infinity Times Two" refer to, aside from presenting players with another question of what to search for exactly (N+ Infinity x2? N Plus Infinity Times Two?)? I wondered if Metanet considered it due to the way the game emphasizes replayability and the infinite nature of a multiplayer experience. "Not until just now," Burns says. "But that is a wonderful angle that we're certainly going to integrate into our understanding of it."
🖥 PC, Multi-platformPalworld 1.0 Is Launching Sooner Than You Expect
After multiple years in early access, the legally distinct Pokemon-like game Palworld is getting its 1.0 version very soon. Palworld 1.0 will launch on July 10, developer Pocketpair announced during Summer Game Fest(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/summer-game-fest-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-and-games/) today. "We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our passionate community who has stayed with us through this journey. We are fully committed to delivering a deeper, more evolved, and definitive Palworld experience worthy of a full launch," the developer said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKum7LqFi1s Coinciding with the 1.0 announcement, Pocketpair announced that Palworld is currently 25% off on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623730/Palworld/), bringing it down to $22.50. Palworld originally launched on PC and Xbox in January 2024, becoming a gigantic success and breaking records.(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-set-a-new-record-in-january-thanks-to-palworld/1100-6522027/) It came to PS5 in September 2024. Palworld is not available on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo sued Pocketpair in 2024 on patent infringement accusations(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-is-suing-palworld-devs/1100-6526569/). Saw: Genesis Is An Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horror Game Published By Bloober Team
!Game Informer News(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/05/cec25a5e/saw%20genesis.jpg.webp) The Saw franchise is ideal inspiration for a horror game – disturbing visuals made even more horrifying when you're the one experiencing them. But while I would have expected a single player experience, Saw: Genesis, announced today at Summer Game Fest, takes the franchise in an asymmetrical multiplayer direction. Check out the reveal trailer below: Set in the aftermath of World War 1, Saw: Genesis centers around a character called the Judge, a precursor to Jigsaw. "Customize your approach with perks and traps, then seek to control the match from the shadows," the game's Steam page reads. "Unlike other asymmetrical multiplayer games, the Judge is physically vulnerable and cannot overpower the Accused through sheer force alone." They'll be up against three Accused, who will try to "work together to escape a deadly maze of traps, pressure, and impossible choices." The game's publisher, Bloober Team, recently impressed the gaming world with the Silent Hill 2 remake, so we're interested to see its work publishing this adaptation of this ancestor of Jigsaw. As mentioned above, the game already has a page on Steam(https://store.steampowered.com/app/2865960/SAWGenesis/), where you can wishlist it or sign up for the Closed Alpha.
Haex Is A Co-Op Survival Shooter Set In A Nordic Wilderness Overtaken By Aliens
!Haex Dead Astronauts co-op cooperative multiplayer first person shooter survival(https://www.gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/bodydefault/public/2026/06/04/ffafe91a/haexkeyartlogo1920x1080.jpg.webp) Dead Astronauts, a Sweden-based studio made up of former Epic Games and Massive Entertainment devs, has revealed its first game, Haex, and it's a co-op survival FPS set in the Nordic Wilderness. Besides surviving the harsh landscape, players will also need to fend off aliens and other mysterious creatures now calling these wilds home. The game is currently in development for PC, but there's no release date yet. Revealed during the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase, you and up to three friends must explore the sub-arctic north to investigate the appearance of a massive and ominous monolith while trying to find where the rest of your expedition crew disappeared to. You'll do so in first-person using a variety of guns to fend off hulking alien creatures and more, all while managing your temperature, thirst, resources, and more. Check it out in the Haex reveal trailer below: As you can see in the trailer, the deeper you go into the mist, the more treacherous your expedition. Players will need to utilize different combat tactics, firearms, melee weapons, and unique gadgets to survive. Plus, you can use alien seeds scattered about to reshape parts of the open world to discover new caches of resources and give your crew an edge. "With Haex, our ambition is to create an innovative, memorable open-world action adventure survival game that we, as players, would love to play and discover ourselves," Dead Astronauts co-founder and Haex creative director Tobias Nyman writes in a press release. "We've poured a great deal of care, creativity, and hard work into building a universe where players can fundamentally reshape their world and determine their own path forward." Here are some additional Haex screenshots: Dead Astronauts says that progress in Haex carries over between sessions, letting players bring gear and resources obtained in one playgroup into the crew of another. However, characters and worlds are saved separately, so each world maintains its own independent state and storyline. There's no word on when Haex will launch, but it's currently in development on PC for Steam and the Epic Games Store. Is Haex something you're interested in checking out with friends?
