Today’s Connections: Sports Edition answers

Here are the answers for today's Connections: Sports Edition puzzle on Saturday 27th June:

• 🟨 Yellow: A Revered Star (Great, Icon, Legend, Superstar)
• 🟩 Green: Last Four NBA Champions (Boston, Denver, New York, Oklahoma City)
• 🟦 Blue: WNBA Players In The Basketball Hall of Fame (Cash, Leslie, Catchings, Whalen)
• 🟪 Purple: Starts With An NFL Starting QB (Jacksonville, Mayer, Williamsport, Youngster)

This Connections had a nice gradual increase in difficulty. The green group was the first to jump out to me, (probably because it was the only one unrelated to sports.) Then came the green group, which rewards those who keep up with the NBA.

The purple group was the trickiest, hiding the names of NFL starting quarterbacks at the beginning of longer words. That one had me stumped for a while!
