How to unlock every planet and route in Star Fox

The number of planets in Star Foxmight look paltry, but unlocking every planet and route is rather more complex than it initially seems. Star Fox, like Star Fox 64 before it, has 14 planets. Each campaign includes seven missions, though your run always starts with Corneria and ends with a variation of Venom. That leaves five missions in between, and which planets you end up on will depend on what you accomplish during the stage.

Below, we list every route in Star Fox and how to unlock each planet.

How to unlock every planet in Star Fox

These are the requirements for unlocking every planet and alternate path. Star Fox doesn't show you this information in your first campaign, though once you finish, you can press X on the mission select screen to view achievements for each planet, which lists that stage's challenges and alternate routes.

There are 25 possible routes, some more challenging than others. The game will usually warn you if one mission is more difficult than another, like how it warns you away from Solar or Area 6 during the first campaign. However, if a planet has an alternate route, you can generally expect the route's unlock requirements to pose a steeper challenge than the standard playthrough, and the planet after it will likely be more difficult as well.

There are no progress blocks for these routes, either. As long as you meet the requirements to unlock a specific planet, you can aim for any route you want at any point.
