A new Nintendo Direct is coming on Tuesday, June 9, Nintendo has confirmed. The next big Nintendo Direct games showcase will focus on titles from Nintendo and its third-party partners coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The new Nintendo Direct will stream on Nintendo's YouTube channel at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT, and will be approximately 50 minutes long. After the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo will also stream Nintendo Treehouse: Live. The aftershow is expected to last around 95 minutes, NIntendo said, and will showcase gameplay of select titles featured during the Nintendo Direct.
Nintendo hasn't revealed which games will be showcased during the Nintendo Direct, but there are a long list of potential candidates. Nintendo has a handful of games on the horizon, including Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and Splatoon Raiders. Beyond those summer releases, there are announced but undated titles like Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave and rumored projects like a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Coming to Switch 2 from third parties are confirmed games like 007 First Light, Orbitals, Elden Ring, The Duskbloods, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok, Culdcept Begins, Village in the Shade, and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
Fans expect Nintendo to make a big splash during its next Nintendo Direct, which will outline what the company has coming in the second half of 2026 and beyond. Nintendo has said that it needs to impress fans with new game offerings as it sets to raise the price of the Switch 2 in September.
The most recent Nintendo Direct happened in February, and focused on Switch 2 games like Resident Evil Requiem, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Orbitals.
