While running away from the aforementioned masked killer, a player can choose to push their companion Luke off a cliff or to jump alone. Pushing Luke seems to result in his death to the rocks below the cliff.
Until Dawn already got a spiritual sequel in the form of The Quarry, where players take the role of teenage camp counselors beset by mysterious beasts. This Until Dawn sequel is not developed by the original developers, Supermassive Games, which have also released many horror games as part of the Dark Pictures Anthology series. Instead, it is helmed by Firesprite, the team behind the Horizon VR game Call Of The Mountain and the survival-horror game The Persistence.
Whether Until Dawn 2 has any direct connection to the first game, or the film adaptation (besides the presence of Peter Stormare) is still unknown.
