Overview & Key Takeaways

One of Forza Horizon 6's seasonal challenges tasks you with completing the Hakone Nanamagari Touge race using a specific car, which is all well and good — except the game doesn't tell you where the race is. And it's not located in an area you'd likely visit just for the fun of it.
One of Forza Horizon 6's seasonal challenges tasks you with completing the Hakone Nanamagari Touge race using a specific car, which is all well and good — except the game doesn't tell you where the race is. And it's not located in an area you'd likely visit just for the fun of it.
Completing the Hakone Nanamagari Touge is required for clearing the season's first weekly challenge, though, and doing so rewards you with a handful of points toward your seasonal wristband, which puts you a big step closer toward claiming the 2008 Mazda Furai, along with the season's other rewards.
In this guide, we'll show you where to find the Hakone Nanamagari Touge in Forza Horizon 6 and what to expect when you get there.
Where to find the Hakone Nanamagari Touge in Forza Horizon 6
The Hakone Nanamagari Touge is in the Nangan region southwest of Tokyo City, at the end of a set of switchbacks that takes you up a hill. It's northwest of the Irokawa drag meet and east of the region's player home. Set your destination point there to get the easiest route (and avoid accidentally taking the much longer way around).

The challenge requires you to complete the race using the Toyota GR86, so we recommend using that to reach the race's starting point. The Hakone Nanamagari Touge takes you back down the hill and all those switchbacks again, so it's a good idea to practice driving up and down them before you start the race.
It's a rough race, to be sure. But on the bright side, the Toyota GR86 handles tight turns well when you slow down, and it has decent acceleration so you can pick up speed again fairly quickly when it's safe to do so. Just don't gun it too fast coming out of a turn in the GR86, or you're very likely to fishtail.
