All 33 vehicles in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Overview & Key Takeaways

If you're excited about taking to the streets of Gotham in dozens of different Batmobiles, Batcycles, and all other manner of car, then Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight isn't going to disappoint. The game features 33 vehicles of all shapes and sizes, ranging from the 1989 Batmobile to some obscure cuts, including Catwoman's lime-green Kitty Car!
While some of these vehicles will unlock by simply playing the game, others must be bought with studs. You'll also need to activate the Batcave Garage to obtain many of them, which naturally occurs after about three hours of game time.
For those of you who've already got the garage set up, or are looking for the perfect car to complement one of the game's 126 different suits, then put your pedal to the metal. This guide will dive into all 33 vehicles for every playable character in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, along with how to unlock each vehicle.

All vehicles in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
We've counted 33 vehicles thus far in Legacy of the Dark Knight, split up between Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, Gordon, and Talia. Batman has the majority of these with 15 snazzy Batmobiles; meanwhile, all of the other characters have 3 vehicles each.

All Batman vehicles
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight provides a variety of Batmobiles from all of the live-action films and most of the Batman cartoons. Alas, they don't have my comic favourite - the 1990s Norm Breyfogle-designed Batmobile (look it up), but they do have all of the others below.

Batcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 8 AR Trials.
Vehicle description: Adam West and Burt Ward rode this beaut around during the Batman '66 TV show. Burt Ward got stuck riding in the little Robin sidecar, which could seperate from the main bike and blitz around all over the place.
Batman & Robin
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Activate the Batcave Garage, then purchase for 50,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: This is the super extra Batmobile from 1997's Batman & Robin. Strangely, it was a one-seater vehicle with only room for Batman, so Robin had to ride around in his Redbird cycle. It also had an extravagant spinning bat light at the front.
Batman '66
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Activate the Batcave Garage, then purchase for 66,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: The Batmobile from the '66 TV show could actually do all of those things that appeared on screen! Yup, the jet-turbine in the back was real, and the car could reach speeds of 170+ MPH! It was built by Hollywood car customiser George Barris, who modified a Lincoln Futura to turn it into something truly iconic.
Batman '89
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Activate the Batcave Garage, then purchase for 1,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: This beaut is my favourite live-action Batmobile aside from the '66 one. Never forget the moment in Batman '89 when Bats tells Vicki Vale to get in the car, and she's like, "What car?" Until she sees this baby, highlighted by Danny Elfman's enduring score.
Batman Beyond
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Purchase the Batman Beyond Pack, which is available as part of the Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Legacy Collection.
Vehicle description: Terry McGinnis drove this flying Batmobile in future Gotham. Fun fact: I once got into an argument with a girl in primary school who insisted that all Batmobiles could fly. I tried to tell her that no, only the Batman Beyond Batmobile could do that, but she didn't believe me. Kids!
Batman Forever
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete Chapter 3 - Two-Face
Vehicle description: Val Kilmer's Batmobile was a pretty decent one. Unfortunately, its impact in the opening scene was dulled by Alfred asking Bats if he wanted a meal, and Batman saying, "I'll get drive-thru." Imagine eating a burger in this hot rod.
Batman v Superman
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Activate the Batcave Garage, then purchase for 45,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: The Lego version of this car looks a little more gray than it did on screen, but this was Ben Affleck's vehicle. A solid Batmobile design in every aspect, except for the fact that it was mainly featured in a chase sequence where Batman appears to kill a bunch of guys and causes millions in collateral damage.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Purchase the Arkham Trilogy Pack, which is available as part of the Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Legacy Collection.
Vehicle description: The Batmobile of the "Arkham Trilogy" - okay, really just Arkham Knight, a game that was so proud of its Batmobile that it replaced what should have been boss fights with Batmobile busywork.
Batman: The Animated Series
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Start Chapter 4.
Vehicle description: A classy and elegant master vehicle, the Animated Series Batmobile exudes art deco sexiness. One notable episode of the show was "The Mechanic", which showed how Batman employed an auto worker and his daughter to help him build this car.
Batmobeast
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, which is available as part of the Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Legacy Collection.
Vehicle description: This oversized monster is from the Dark Knights: Death Metal series, and is actually a sentient Batmobile from another universe. Basically, an evil Batman uploaded his consciouness to all of his tech, and when folks killed him, the only place his mind remained was in this car. It's wacky, yup.
Batpod
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 4 AR Trials.
Vehicle description: The Batcycle of the Christopher Nolan flicks, Batman ended up relying on this after the Batmobile was destroyed by the Joker in The Dark Knight. Never forget the cool scene where Joker stares down the Batpod and yells, "Hit me!" He really wanted those chonky tyres to take him out.
First Appearance Batmobile
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Find 6 Lost Zoo Animals, then purchase for 150,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: When the Batmobile first appeared in Detective Comics 27 in 1939, it was just this plain ol' bright red car. Not much for stealth, huh? The Lego version here actually looks a little nicer than it did in the comics, thanks to that Bat design on the hood.
Motorcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 20 WayneTech Caches, then purchase for 25,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: From The Batman, this was Robert Pattinson's main mode of transportation when he wasn't driving around in the big muscle car that's depicted below. A cool bike design, and check out the little bat ears on the wind deflector.
The Batman
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: Robert Pattinson's Batmobile, which looks like something a dude who moonlights at an autoshop would customise in his spare time. Legacy of the Dark Knight riffs off of this by saying that this vehicle was originally Thomas Wayne's sports car back in the day.
Tumbler
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Start Chapter 5.
Vehicle description: The Tumbler was the first instance of the Batmobile appearing more like a tank on the big screen. This courted some controversy prior to Batman Begins' release, with some calling the design ugly. More optimistic folks insisted it was close to The Dark Knight Returns' Batmobile. These days, it's considered a classic, but let this be proof that nerds have never really agreed on anything.
All Robin vehicles
Below, you'll find all three of Robin's vehicles, though they're missing the best one of all - the '90s Redbird that Tim Drake drove in the comics when he first got his license. I have no idea why they left it out!
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| Redbird | Complete 12 AR Challenges, purchase for 35,000 Studs |
| Robincycle | Default vehicle |
| Robinmobile | Unlock 4 Subwaynes, purchase for 30,000 Studs |
Redbird
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 12 AR Challenges, then purchase for 35,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: It shares the name with the Redbird that I mentioned above, but it ain't the same. Rather, this is the bike that Chris O'Donnell drove in Batman & Robin, because that movie's Batmobile lacked a second seat.
Robincycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: The Boy Wonder's gone through a few motorcycle designs in the comics, and this one's basically a combo of the best looking ones. The Robincycle first appeared in Teen Titans issue 10 back in 1966, and it would frequently serve as Dick's wheels in the '70s.
Robinmobile
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 4 Subwaynes, then purchase for 30,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: The Robinmobile just looks super silly to me, but I suppose it's a classic, from 1951's Star-Spangled Comics issue 113. Basically, Batman's gone missing in that story, and Robin operates solo - hence the not-so-suble automobile with the massive "R" at the front.
All Nightwing vehicles
Nightwing's vehicle selection continues the trend of two motorcycles and one car that we saw for Robin, only in blue and black instead of red and yellow. See all the options below.
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| Nightbird | Unlock 130 WayneTech Caches, purchase for 35,000 Studs |
| Nightcycle | Default vehicle |
| Wingcycle | Complete 25 AR Trials |
Nightbird
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 130 WayneTech Caches, then purchase for 35,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: Now that's one sweet way of getting around town, worthy of Nightwing in all of his glory. The Nightbird first showed up in Nightwing issue 16 back in 1998, and after never having a car of his own during his tenure as Batman's partner, Dick was pretty chuffed to finally get behind the wheel.
Nightcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: This particular cycle design is from 2022's Nightwing Annual. It's understated, classy, and certainly a tad cooler than the bike below...
Wingcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 25 AR Trials.
Vehicle description: The Wingcycle looks just as wacky as the name sounds. The white and yellow sidecar reminds me of Donald Duck, man! Dick used to drive the Wingcycle back in his Teen Titans days in the '80s, and you can just imagine him rocking the Discowing suit in this.
All Batgirl vehicles
Barbara Gordon's always been known for her cool motorcycle, ever since the days of Batman '66. Luckily, that one makes a welcome appearance here...along with two other vehicle options that aren't as iconic.
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| Batgirl's Van | Unlock 100 WayneTech Caches, purchase for 30,000 Studs |
| Batman '66 | Complete 5 Waylon Jones Cases, purchase for 30,000 Studs |
| Scooter | Default vehicle |
Batgirl's Van
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 100 WayneTech Caches, then purchase for 30,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: Babs had this van when she featured in DC Super Hero Girls, a webseries in 2015 that was intended to introduce characters like Batgirl, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn to a young female audience. I bought my niece one of the DC Super Hero Girls dolls when she was 5 and she called herself Batgirl for a while, which was cute.
Batman '66
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 5 Waylon Jones Cases, then purchase for 30,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: Here it is - Yvonne Craig's classic cycle, which always announced her arrival on the scene in an episode of the TV show. Sure, the frilly parts on it are a little dated these days, but it's still a fun design. Yvonne Craig did all of her own driving and stunts, too!
Scooter
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: Wow, what an ordinary-looking...scooter. With a completely unappealing name, too. This one was also from DC Super Hero Girls and is too plain for my tastes. Babs deserves something less pedesterian than this!
All Catwoman vehicles
Selina Kyle isn't known for wheels as much as other members of the Bat Family, but Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight still managed to scrounge up the following three Catwoman-themed options for you to collect.
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| Catmobile | Complete 2 Ivy Plantlifes. |
| Kitty Car | Complete 6 Falcone Fortunes, purchase for 45,000 Studs |
| Motorcycle | Default vehicle |
Catmobile
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 2 Ivy Plantlifes.
Vehicle description: Back in the '40s, Catwoman did indeed have her own Catmobile, and it was basically a lavish ripoff of the Batmobile - but with a cat face instead of a bat. The Catmobile has appeared here and there over the years, but it often takes on the alternate name found below...
Kitty Car
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Complete 6 Falcone Fortunes, then purchase for 45,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: Ah, the Kitty Car. This is the Catmobile by another name with a fresh set of paint - in this case, the lime-green as featured in Batman '66. To be very frank, it kind of looks like a giant pickle on wheels.
Motorcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: Selina drove this bike in 2022's The Batman, which ended with her and Bruce parting ways. The final scene is Batman staring broodingly into the distance as he drives off, knowing that he "fumbled a baddie," as the youth say these days!
All Gordon vehicles
Ever wanted to drive a cop car in your Lego Batman game? Anyone?! Well, if you're one of the few who ever held dreams of piloting James Gordon around Gotham City, you've got the following options to choose from.
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| GCPD Cruiser | Default vehicle |
| GCPD Motorcycle | Activate the Batcave Garage, purchase for 25,000 Studs |
| SWAT Van | Unlock 40 WayneTech Caches, purchase for 30,000 Studs |
GCPD Cruiser
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: It's a Gotham Police Officer car! Yeah, I don't have much to say about this one, because it's just so unexciting compared to the Batmobiles and Robincycles on display here. I do wonder if there are donut stains on the brick cushions, though.
GCPD Motorcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Activate the Batcave Garage, then purchase for 25,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: It's a Gotham Police Officer motorcycle, if the car wasn't boring enough! Might there be donut stains on the brick seat of this one too?!
SWAT Van
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 40 WayneTech Caches, then purchase for 30,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: This SWAT Van is roughly inspired by the police vans in The Dark Knight. But if they wanted a more interesting-looking SWAT vehicle, they probably should have gone with the big brown one from Batman: The Animated Series. Anyway, insert another donut stain joke here.
All Talia vehicles
Talia al Ghul has some decent vehicle choices fit for a League of Shadows leader, including her own version of the Tumbler. See them all in the table below, along with their unlock requirements.
| Vehicle | How to get |
|---|---|
| Motorcycle | Default vehicle |
| Sports Car | Unlock 170 Waynetech Caches, purchase for 35,000 Studs |
| Tumbler | Unlock 190 Waynetech Caches, purchase for 35,000 Studs |
Motorcycle
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: You'll start with this default vehicle.
Vehicle description: Talia's motorcycle isn't bad at all - check out that sweet shuriken decal on the side! One has to wonder if she's mastered the art of driving while tossing ninja stars at her opponents.
Sports Car
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 170 Waynetech Caches, then purchase in the Batcave Garage for 35,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: According to the game's description, this snazzy white sports car was found in issue 15 of the 2021 Robin series. However, the one in the comic actually looked much cooler and was green with a dragon painted on the side. I know this stuff better than the Lego folks, apparently.
Tumbler
Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Telltale Games
How to get: Unlock 190 Waynetech Caches, then purchase in the Batcave Garage for 35,000 Studs.
Vehicle description: Talia's Tumbler is really just a regular Tumbler without the black paint that Bats slapped on his version. Anyhow, Talia had a whole army of these that she used to try to destroy Gotham City in The Dark Knight Rises, but she ended up losing because by then, Batman could make his set of wheels fly!
