Subnautica 2 finally has a release date, and given that it's Steam's No. 1 most-wishlisted game currently, it's expected to command a lot of attention upon release on May 14. One developer, Square Glade Games, is getting out the game's way for its own upcoming release, Outbound.

For what it's worth, Outbound is looking popular ahead of release given how high up it ranks on Steam's Wishlist charts.
The new release date for Outbound does not apply to all platforms, however. May 11 is when Outbound will release on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox, but the PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 versions remain set for release on May 14.
Outbound is a cozy survival-crafting game where players start with an empty camper van powered by renewable energy. Over time, players can scavenge materials to craft upgrades and make the camper self-sufficient with more advanced technology and the ability to create gardens of plants that can be used for food.
The game raised nearly $300,000 in September 2024 on Kickstarter, after which Square Glade Games promised to add additional features like fishing and the game's dog companion.
