If you want to give Final Fantasy Resonance a shot before release, you're in luck. Sony and Square Enix announced during a State of Play that a demo for the game is available today ahead of its October 22 release. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, Switch, and PC.

It was also revealed that Sephiroth will make an appearance in the game. Final Fantasy Resonance is a heavily overhauled port of the mobile game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which featured myriad character cameos from various Final Fantasy games, so his appearance isn't too surprising (Cloud is also in the game), but it's nice to have a confirmation.

Co-Producer Takanori Murayama reveals the protagonist, Ellie Myer, is played by Cherami Leigh in English, while her Japanese VO will be provided by Akari Kito. Meanwhile, Ilya, a supporting character, will be voiced by Hannah Grace, with a Japanese performance from Saori Onishi. Murayama also shares a little more about the game's combat, hinting at customizable combat-based gameplay.
