Fowl Scourge is a action RPG game where you are the plague doctor, who is trying to make some money. Each day, you need to enter the cavern and pick up some odd jobs, which often have to do with strange creatures of death.

You then need to leave the area and take on these monsters, who are each in their own dungeons, with their own attacks and way of interacting. The variety in the different plague creatures are wild; from monsters without legs to strange jelly creatures that bounce around the level. There’s a lot to take on!

Once you have fulfilled your quest in Fowl Scourge, you will find yourself back at your tavern. Here, you can actually alter your own genetic make-up to be stronger and better able to take on the various monsters that you will be fighting. These different surgeries come at a price, sometimes having some bad effects, but over all feel like the right thing to do.

Fowl Scourge is an interesting game with a lot of depth to it. From the home base of a tavern, where there are lots of ways to change yourself and your weapons to the variety of different monsters that you can come into contact with. It’s a lot to explore! I played a short demo at Game Con Canada, where I very much enjoyed the creatures I took on and the general vibe of the game. I look foward to checking out more of the game, which seems to have puzzles related to how you move alongside all of these different enemies to kill off.
