At long last, Rockstar will lift the veil on GTA 6(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-leaks-a-timeline-of-the-events-so-far/) today, August 27, via an "Extended Look" on Netflix(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-extended-look-how-to-watch-what-to-expect-and-more/). But how long will the broadcast be? Now we know. According to an updated listing for the showcase on the Netflix app, the Extended Look event will run for 26 minutes. That's pretty significant, but it should be, given Rockstar and Netflix are calling it "extended." This suggest it's more than a trailer but instead a proper deep dive into the world of GTA 6. That's exciting news for fans, as Rockstar has only delivered two trailers for the game since 2023, and only sparing other details along the way. Additionally, Netflix's blog post announcing the Extended Look(https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/grand-theft-auto-6-extended-first-look) was updated with confirmation that the content in the broadcast was "captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5." That's no surprise, either, as the May 2025 GTA 6 trailer was also captured on PlayStation 5(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6s-trailer-2-looked-great-and-it-wasnt-all-cutscenes/1100-6531380/), and not the PS5 Pro. Sony and Rockstar have a co-marketing agreement for GTA 6, which is why this is happening. Even GTA 6 Is Poking Fun At Naughty Dog’s Lack Of New Games

While Naughty Dog is working on its next title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, that hasn't stopped people from taking a jab at the studio for having spent almost the entire PlayStation 5 generation without releasing a brand-new game--and it looks like even GTA 6 is having a little bit of fun at Naughty Dog's expense. The recent GTA 6 leaks from Cyberleek(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-6-leaks-a-timeline-of-the-events-so-far/) have been a treasure trove of information about the game, especially the amount of detail that can be found in virtually every corner of it. One such detail you might easily miss is a collection of video game covers, one of which is a thinly veiled reference to the video game series The Last of Us. It's not the only studio that GTA 6 is parodying, as you can even find a cover for what's probably a souls-like game on the shelf: https://twitter.com/alihld13/status/2092246778850517309 The ribbing of The Last of Us likely stems from the fact that, compared to the PS3 and PS4 eras, Naughty Dog's output for PS5 has been much smaller. There are a number of reasons for that, as the increased complexity of developing modern video games means that a project can take several years to complete. The multi-year development and eventual cancellation of The Last of Us Online(https://www.gamespot.com/articles/canceled-last-of-us-online-game-was-very-close-to-done-and-doing-really-well-internally-says-dev/1100-6539185/) also consumed massive studio resources for years and ended without a finished product. In the PS5 era, Naughty Dog's output has consisted of remastered editions and PC ports of its Uncharted and The Last of Us games.
