Connections answer today

Here is the answer to today's Connections puzzle on Thursday, 27th August:

• 🟨 Yellow: Electric Things (Electric Eel, Lightning, Live Wire, Pikachu)
• 🟩 Green: Moved to Tears (Choked Up, Emotional, Misty, Overcome)
• 🟦 Blue: Shades of Gray (Ash, Dove, Pewter, Slate)
• 🟪 Purple: Music Genre Plus Starting Letter (Brock, Nemo, Spunk, Wrap)

If you were wanting to work on your literal associations and sneaky word constructions, this was the puzzle for you! The yellow group electrified things from the natural world, man-made constructs, and even Pokemon. The green category was all about being deeply moved, kind of like I was when I thought I was going to lose my streak today.

Blue was a little cheeky, only chosing four of the 50 shades of gray we all know are out there, and purple delivered the cleaverest wordplay in the grid, as usual, by hiding its words inside others.
