Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon gets release date for this content-packed DLC
Overview & Key Takeaways
Vampire Survivors is perhaps one of the best Survivors-likes out there; I mean, it's in the name after all. So you can't blame us for closely watching its constant influx of new DLC, including the action-packed (and evil-packed) Legacy of the Bloodmoon, which is now slated to make its way to all platforms on August 28th! Legacy of the Bloodmoon features 10 new characters, 16 new weapons and an enormous new stage, not to mention plenty of bumping music tracks too. Legacy of the Bloodmoon features 10 new characters, 16 new weapons and an enormous new stage, not to mention plenty of bumping music tracks too. The (very loose) story follows Clan Bloodmoon in their hunt for a supposed paradise lit by a red moon first prophesised by Saint Baal'Thasar.
Probably not vampires...probably
Of course, the story is just a backdrop to the same kind of fast-paced, bullet-heaven action that Vampire Survivors is known for. And while we know who most of the characters appearing will be, ranging from the evil matriarch Malice Bloodmoon to ancient undead king Sargon, there are three other secret warriors to unlock.
I guess then, the theme of this DLC is dark and evil. Clan Bloodmoon hardly have altruistic intentions, and their weapons, which let you incinerate enemies with a flick of the wrist or paralyse them with needles, certainly invoke that. They also just look pretty cool in all that red, in my opinion.
But, long story short, this is another content-packed, feature-rich DLC from Poncle. And with Vampire Survivors now being renamed to include The First Survivaton, and a Jujutsu Kaisen-themed spinoff in the works, Poncle don't seem set to end their winning streak anytime soon.
There are still plenty of others which take inspiration from the hit Vampire-themed game with no vampires in it (unless you count crossovers). So check out our list of the best mobile games like Vampire Survivors for some of our favourite picks of the genre!
