Connections answer today

Here is the answer to today's Connections puzzle on Sunday, 23rd August:

• 🟨 Yellow: Potentially Explosive Things (Powder Keg, Time Bomb, Tinderbox, Volcano)
• 🟩 Green: Double Vowels (Antifreeze, Bazaar, Skiing, Vacuum)
• 🟦 Blue: Made with Potatoes (Home Fries, Potato Battery, Vichyssoise, Vodka)
• 🟪 Purple: Household Stain Removers (Baking Soda, Club Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, Vinegar)

This is one of those very rare times that the purple group wasn't the last to fall into place for me! That's probably thanks to my mother and her infinite wisdom. What did trip me up today, though, was Vichyssoise. Apparently it's a thick potato soup, which sounds absolutely delicious. Here's to another dinner idea!
