Connections hint for Thursday 20th August

Here are your Connections hints for today:

• 🟨 Yellow hint: Options on the dinner menu.
• 🟩 Green hint: Not every number is supposed to be counted.
• 🟦 Blue hint: Tiny marks, big typographical differences.
• 🟪 Purple hint: The Zodiac isn't only found in the stars.
• Extra hint 1: One group hides its words inside others.
• Extra hint 2: Every group has at least one word containing the letter 'T'

Connections answer today

Here is the answer to today's Connections puzzle on Thursday, 20th August:

• 🟨 Yellow: Kinds of Pizza (Diavola, Hawaiian, Meat Lovers, White)
• 🟩 Green: Kinds of Numbers (Atomic, Serial, Social Security, Telephone)
• 🟦 Blue: Similarly Shaped Typographical Marks (Apostrophe, Cedilla, Comma, Okina)
• 🟪 Purple: Starting with Chinese Zodiac Animals (Dragonfly, Oxford, Pigment, Ratchet)

This puzzle had quite a few different flavors of wordplay, and both the purple and blue groups were a challenge. Pizza connoisseurs would have found the yellow group a breeze, while literature majors would have found the blue group a piece of cake. This puzzle was a tricky one, but on the plus side, I have a new pizza flavor to check out!
