Overview & Key Takeaways

Here's how to complete every achievement and trophy in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

A Poxy BirdBronzeCaptain your own ship (complete "The Treasure Fleet" main quest).
All Hands On DeckBronzeRecruit all officers. Follow "A World Without Gold" to get the last one, Tobias "Deadman" Smith.
Among ThievesBronzeUnlock a smuggler's chest. These are "special chests" that count as location secrets. You'll find one in every smuggler's den, which is any "cave" location on the map, such as Anotto Bay and San Juan.
Articles of AgreementBronzeEnsure the survival of all pirates in a street fight. These are random side activities marked by a broken chain symbol. When you see one (usually in a large town), rescue the pirates to obtain the achievement.
Backs to the WallBronzeKill an enemy with a wall takedown. In other words, use Edward's forward kicking attack to kick an enemy into a wall.
Blow the Man DownSilverShoot down all the hanging bodies (three in total) in Long Bay. Travel to the northeast viewpoint in Long Bay, at coordinates (505, 232), where you'll find the first body directly below you. Drop about halfway down the watchtower to shoot it. From there, take the path to the southwest, where you'll find the other two bodies strung up above the road, at coordinates (501, 228).
Business and PleasureBronzeSpend 50,000 reales.
CartographerSilverVisit every location in the game. This includes every marked location, including forts and shipwrecks (diving bell locations). Progress the main story to unlock places like Principe, Isla Providencia, and shipwrecks. Beware that unlocking them on the map isn't enough; you have to pay a visit.
Caught 'Em AllBronzeCatch at least five enemies within a single smoke bomb's area of effect.
Collective MadnessSilverAdd one of each ship class to Kenway's fleet, including a schooner, brig, frigate, and man-of-war.
Davy Jones' LockerBronzeSwim to the lowest point on the map, which is in a shipwreck (diving bell) location. After completing the "Diving for Medicines" main quest, go to The Black Trench at coordinates (184, 425). At the bottom of the sea, swim south. When you see the dark trench below you (behind a large wreck and some jellyfish), go west. At the end of the path, you'll find an old diving bell. Swim to the bottom of this diving bell (you may have to move around a bit) to trigger the Davy Jones' Locker achievement.
Devil of the CaribbeanSilverDefeat all legendary ships.
DilettanteSilverFill every art collection and equipment slot in the Great Inagua manor. Every room needs several paintings, weapons, and objects, so be careful not to miss any. Here's what you'll need: Entrance hall: One piece of furniture, one table decoration, two large table decorations, four paintings. Fleet planning room: Two table decorations, one painting, three portraits, 20 ship models (all in the same cabinet). Basement: One portrait halfway down the stairs, and another six below. Living room: One table decoration, 27 shelf decorations, 18 swords, 12 pistols, one painting. Bedroom: Two furniture, one table decoration, three paintings, one portrait, one outfit. You'll obtain most of these items by questing and looting, but you also need to do piracy missions with Kenway's fleet. Save your game before you look at the available piracy missions, and if none of them offer decorative items, reload your save and try again.
Double TapBronzeParry two ocelot attacks in rapid succession. Ocelots appear in Cumberland Bay, at coordinates (643, 347), and on Abaco Island, at coordinates (586, 805).
Dressing OverallBronzeEquip new cosmetics in each of the Jackdaw's vanity slots. Restore and use the Harbormaster shop in Great Inagua, go to the Jackdaw's upgrade menu, and choose "appearances." Change the default vanity item in every slot (sails, wheel, etc.) and you're done.
Ed the DiverBronzeSwim a total of 1000m underwater, excluding underwater shipwrecks.
Edward CatwayBronzeBreak 50 potted plants. You'll likely achieve this one without even trying, but if not, look for potted plants around any town building. Use any attack to break them.
Ever a SplinterGoldStop a Templar plot (complete the "Ever a Splinter" main quest).
Friend to AllBronzeInteract with all seven friendly animals. This includes cats and monkeys (only the tamed monkeys you get to keep as a pet), as well as any dogs, cows, turtles, chickens, and pigs.
Glutton for NourishmentBronzeConsume 20 food items.
GovernorBronzeRestore all buildings in the Great Inagua village. This includes the tavern, brothel, campfire, general store, harbormaster, treasure dealer, and fisherman's wharf.
GrandmasterSilverWin at each of the different tavern games. This includes three games: Checkers, Nine-Man Morris, and Fanorona. Winning at "easy" difficulty will suffice (tavern games marked with only one star).
Gun-kataBronzeUse pistols to kill four enemies in a row within five seconds.
Help a Brother OutBronzeComplete a Templar hunt sequence. Following the "This Old Cove" main quest, you'll unlock four Templar quests named after four people: Anto, Rhona Dinsmore, Upton Travers, and Opia Apito. You only need to complete one of these four quest sequences to get the trophy, but beware that each sequence contains several sub-quests.
HungoverBronzeWake up in a haystack. Visit any tavern and keep drinking until you pass out.
Hunter HuntedBronzeDefeat a pirate hunter while you're at maximum "wanted" level. While sailing the Jackdaw, destroy ships or fortresses until the red bar at the top right is full, then defeat an enemy ship with red sails and a skull marker to get this trophy. Be careful; the higher your wanted level, the stronger the pirate hunter ships that'll come after you, so it can't hurt to get most of the Jackdaw's ultimate ship plans first.
In a World Without GoldBronzeWitness the end of a legend (complete the "Do Not Go Gently" main quest).
King of the CastleSilverCapture all forts. There's one in every region, marked by a small castle symbol.
Last to LeaveSilverTake a seat on a burning ship. Burning ships are ocean-based events, and you'll need a bit of luck to find one (fighting regular ships won't count). You can board a burning ship to participate in a limited-time looting event, but to get this trophy, you must sit down on a chair on the burning ship's deck. Not all burning ships contain a chair, but since they spawn quite frequently at coordinates (775, 143), east of Kabah Ruins, you can return to this location until you find one.
Let Me ExplainBronzeAfter a perfect parry, perform a total of four takedowns.
Lively HavanaBronzeGet a tour of Havana (complete the main quest of the same name).
MatadorBronzeDodge a total of three charge attacks by a wild pig (swine). They're quite common, especially on Mariguana Island at coordinates (851, 515).
Not So Little FriendBronzeUnlock the secondary firing mode on a Jackdaw weapon. This doesn't require any special action on your end, just complete the "Proper Defenses" main mission.
Old IronsidesBronzePerform three perfect braces.
Overdesign IVSilverKick a berserk enemy caught in smoke off a ship. First, complete the "Overrun and Outnumbered" main quest to unlock every required ability. Then, board a ship and select a victim: Hit them with a berserk dart, hit them with a smoke bomb, then kick them off the ship.
OwnedBronzeComplete every activity in a single location. Find secrets, hunt animals, open chests, etc.
Perfect PredatorBronzeGet a perfect harpoon shot on a great white shark. You can find them at coordinates (314, 47) and coordinates (490, 303).
Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure!PlatinumWin every trophy (complete every other achievement on this list).
Return the FavorSilverDash ram a ramming brig. First, recruit the ship officer called The Padre by completing his officer quest, which becomes available after "This Old Cove." This will unlock the dash ram ability for the Jackdaw. Next, use the spyglass to identify a brig, then wait for it to come at you (head first, at full speed) and use the dash ram before it hits your ship.
Seven Deadly SeasBronzeFind all treasure chests in underwater shipwrecks. Unlock shipwrecks (diving bell locations) by completing the "Diving for Medicines" main quest, then fully complete all seven shipwreck locations by opening every treasure chest.
Ship ThisSilverFully upgrade the Jackdaw. You can purchase the upgrades at the harbormaster in Great Inagua, once you've restored his shop following the "This Old Cove" main quest.
Silence, Fool!BronzeKill a guard ringing a bell. Almost any heavily guarded area contains an alarm bell.
Smooth OperatorBronzeCraft an item. Open the inventory, go to the crafting menu, and spend some animal hides to get your first crafting item. The name is a bit confusing, but these are basically permanent skill upgrades for Edward.
Strike the ColorsBronzeBoard a lead convoy ship. These are very common sea events. Sail the Jackdaw until you see a bunch of ships marked "Naval Convoy," then defeat the largest one and board it.
The HangmanBronzeKill 10 enemies by hanging them with the rope dart. You will unlock this ability during the "Sugarcane and Its Yields" main quest.
The Memory of My MemoryBronzeDisplay all character portraits in the Great Inagua manor. You must find all 11 portrait locations and put them on the manor walls.
UnsinkableBronzeSurvive a rogue wave taken from the side. During a storm, when a particularly large wave comes toward the Jackdaw, don't face it head-on (as you normally should) but allow it to hit the ship sideways.
Walls That Hold Back the WindBronzeSettle in a new home (complete the "This Old Cove" main mission).
Yo Ho...BronzeLearn a new shanty. Obtain any shanty to complete this trophy.
Zero WasteBronzeRestore a map from map pieces. Unlock the Treasure Dealer on Great Inagua, who offers a map restoration service. You must find all missing map pieces for one of the five restored maps. The "digested map" is by far the easiest.

The Video Games You Should Play This Weekend – August 21, 2026

Look – usually I try to have some kind of relevant detail in this opening paragraph related to what happened this week, or what to look forward to this weekend, but there is simply no time today. Have some links. Have some recommendations. My brevity today and the clear need to leave and prep other things will make sense next week, I promise. We have a busy (but exciting) one ahead of us. - Onimusha: Way Of The Sword Shines A Light On One Of Japan’s Most Important Women(https://gameinformer.com/exclusive-feature/2026/08/20/onimusha-way-of-the-sword-shines-a-light-on-one-of-japans-most) - The Duskbloods Preview – A Hands-On Breakdown Of From Software’s Exciting, Surprising, And Dense Take on Competitive Multiplayer(https://gameinformer.com/preview/2026/08/20/a-hands-on-breakdown-of-from-softwares-exciting-surprising-and-dense-take-on) - FromSoftware Closes The Duskbloods' First Closed Network Test Session Due To Rampant Server Issues(https://gameinformer.com/2026/08/21/fromsoftware-closes-the-duskbloods-first-closed-network-test-session-due-to-rampant) - Riot Games Will Cease Active Development For League Of Legends Fighting Game 2XKO In December(https://gameinformer.com/2026/08/20/riot-games-will-cease-active-development-for-league-of-legends-fighting-game-2xko-in) - Everything We Learned Playing The Duskbloods At FromSoftware | New Gameplay Today(https://gameinformer.com/new-gameplay-today/2026/08/20/everything-we-learned-playing-the-duskbloods-at-fromsoftware-new) - You Can Help Decide Double Fine's Next Project In Its Upcoming Game Jam Livestream(https://gameinformer.com/2026/08/21/you-can-help-decide-double-fines-next-project-in-its-upcoming-game-jam-livestream) !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/08/21/bb9ca007/ss531ae06deb0827d686528d98ff36f0e214b2042c.1920x1080.jpg.webp) The Sinking City 2 Marcus Stewart I’ve always heard The Sinking City described as a respectable but flawed survival-horror experience (though practically a must-play if you love H.P. Lovecraft). I never played it, but that's okay because The Sinking City 2 is a completely standalone story starring a different protagonist, making it a perfect entry point. I’m several hours into the adventure and am generally enjoying its eerie atmosphere and its 1920’s Lovecraftian art direction, even if its Resident Evil-inspired gameplay, while serviceable, is a step or two below the lofty bar set by Capcom’s flagship horror series. I like the game’s emphasis on puzzle-solving and connecting clues to solve investigations, letting me test my noggin in a more detective-like manner. Lovecraft fans will be happy to know this game is appropriately strange, quirky, and often disturbing. If you’ve already played Resident Evil Requiem this year and need to scratch another survival-horror itch, The Sinking City 2 offers, from what I’ve played thus far, a totally solid experience. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/08/21/bf49b722/ssfc46102e8b399d52316625f9be195e9cbe33d39f.1920x1080.jpg.webp) Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Demo Eric Van Allen It feels like just last year that we got a remake of the first Trails in the Sky game, and that's because it was! Nihon Falcom is back with the second entry in its remade Sky saga on September 17, but a demo is out now if you want to dip in early. The Trails 2nd demo will let you carry save progress forward into the main game, as the best of demos do, so it's a nice way to get a little taste of what's to come in the next entry. I do highly recommend you play all of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter before playing any of the 2nd Chapter; some big plot revelations happen in the final hours of 1st Chapter, and you wouldn't want to spoil yourself on them. But for Trails fans, this is pretty exciting. I'm very eager to return to Estelle's journey as an up-and-coming Bracer prodigy, and to finally start uncovering some of the broader mysteries surrounding all the drama in Liberl that played out in 1st Chapter. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2026/08/21/f35c98b4/dogpilescreenshot3.png.webp) Dogpile Charles Harte When Dogpile came out on PC in December 2025, I had a blast playing it, but mostly found myself wishing it was on a different platform. Its bright art style and straightforward design seemed like a perfect fit for Switch or a mobile app, but it wouldn't be until this week that that wish would come true; as of yesterday, Dogpile is out on iOS, Android, and Switch 1 & 2. The easiest recent game to compare it to would be Suika Game, where players combine matching fruits by dropping them in a tank and hoping physics will help you drop them in the right place. 2048 is another easy comparison, though it lacks the physics element. Dogpile takes this idea, but trades fruit or numbers for various breeds of dog – combining two of the same fuses them into a single, larger dog. But Dogpile stands out with its roguelike deckbuilder mechanics. It feels like a silly, borderline nonsensical fusion, but in practice it makes perfect sense. You have a "deck" of dogs that randomly appear to be dropped on your board, and you can even give them modifiers. A dog might bark, for example, and shake up the other dogs, moving pups around to combine. But other dogs can have negative traits, like one that prevents them from fusing for several drops. There are also dog tags to collect and different decks to amass. It's a tad overwhelming to list the mechanics here, though – the thing I like most about Dogpile is how intuitive it is, and if you decide to check it out, I think you'll feel the same way. It also helps that it's free to start on mobile. !Game Informer News(https://gameinformer.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumbnail/public/2025/10/15/243c1a26/1000xRESIST%20dance.jpg.webp) 1000xResist Charles Harte I love 1000xResist, and I wrote a whole review explaining it(https://gameinformer.com/review/1000xresist/a-game-that-will-remain-and-remain), so I'm very happy to see the game launched on Switch 2 earlier this week. I played the original on Switch 1, and while it was powerful enough of a console to bring me through to the credits, the performance struggles at times. Textures are blurry, load times are long, and I even had a handful of crashes. I haven't had a chance to try the Switch 2 version yet, but developer Sunset Visitor claims it brings the game to a level of performance on par with PC, which would make for a much better experience. That said, whether you play it on Switch 2, PC, or even a Switch 1, it's a fantastic game worth checking out. With wonderfully written dialogue, intricately-woven themes, mind-boggling world-building, and memorable, flawed characters, I stand by the statement that it's one of the most ground-breaking stories in video game history.
